In this 2 part segment, E3 Aviation's very own co-founder John "Rain" Waters sits down with Captain Sterling Gilliam and Hill Goodspeed (Director and Historian at the National Naval Aviation Museum) to discuss never before secrets about the true story Korean War film, Devotion and some behind the aviation scene information that no one has ever talked about.
See the Korea Exhibit (also known as the Devotion Exhibit) at the Naval Aviation Museum, as Rain, Sterling and Hill take a deeper dive into the naval aviation impact with the Korean War and the deeper level ties that the aviation museum had with the movie.

ABOUT THE MOVIE DEVOTION:
Devotion is inspired by the heroic true story of the Navy’s most exceptional pilots.
Cast: Jonathan Majors, Glen Powell, Christina Jackson, and Thomas Sadoski, Joe Jonas
In the film, Jonathan Majors (Creed III) and Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick) star in the story of two elite U.S. Navy fighter pilots who helped turn the tide in the most brutal battle in the Korean War: Jesse Brown, the first Black aviator in Navy history, and his fellow fighter pilot and friend Tom Hudner. Their heroic sacrifices and enduring friendship would ultimately make them the Navy’s most celebrated wingmen. Additional cast members include Christina Jackson (“Swagger”), Thomas Sadoski (“The Newsroom”) and Joe Jonas.
In early 1950, Lieutenant Tom Hudner transfers to Fighter Squadron 32 (VF-32) at Quonset Point Naval Air Station, where he meets Ensign Jesse Brown, the only African American member of the unit. Hudner integrates well into the squadron, which is assigned F4U-4 Corsairs - powerful planes with a reputation for fatal accidents if not handled properly.
