I set a timer on my phone to potty training my Morkie and put a bell on a string on the door that he could reach. I started with 10/5 timer every 10 minutes with 5 minutes outside. I'd ring the bell every time that I said, "let's go potty" after about 36 hours he would ring the bell at almost the 10 minute mark. After 2 weeks I increased to 15 minutes between timers and 3 minutes outside. After 2 weeks I increased to 20 minutes between timers and kept it at 3 minutes outside. He figured it out real quick. I also NEVER put puppy pee pads down. Ever. When we had to leave him when he was tiny we kenneled him and he did fine. We were very careful not to leave him for very long. There is an occasional incident if I am at work and my husband and son go to bed super early (I work evening/nights). Usually it's right by the back door that he gets let out. Usually. Lol he's still a little stinker and sometimes is naughty. Very rarely though. Consistency and watching like a hawk for their potty signs, sniffing all around frantically, squatting or whimpering while sniffing. You have to watch their cues like a newborn baby.
Your tutorial was nice, but you should FULLY dry your Morkie before brushing him or her. You could hear the yips on the video. When the hair is wet, the brush has a harder time going through it. My Morkie bites at the brush much less when she's dry. Please add something to clarify this in your video. I don't want our fur-babies to hurt any more than they must after a bath.
I have a Morkie named Brody, and we have a pretty big yard, and he likes to play in the yard. He gets dirty after playing, so I gave him a bath. I give him a bath 2 days per week. After the bath, he rolls around on the grass. Does he just like the sent or something?
we love dogs and wanted a small one we have never had a small dog. we wanted to get a morkie but watched the 101 video and it said not to leave the house for long and leave it by its self for long and me and my brothers are at school for 9 to 11 hours a day and mom and dad are at work for even longer than that. should we still get one?
+horse princess if you really want one - you should get one. Try to find a time when you guys have school off so at least you can be with the puppy when it's still potty training and getting used to the new situation.
What I’m doing is that I’m getting it in the summer so it has some time to potty train before school. Also I used to have a Maltese shih tzu and she would stay alone for the school day. And now my sister has her and she works up to 6-7 hours. So if you train the dog properly the dog will get used to it.
Morkies are the most gentle, loving, cuddly doggies ever.
xbendiistraw is it hard potty training ur dog
How did u train ur dog to use outside not in the house

Yes !!! That is absolutely True ♥️🐾
My dog is a morkie, literally a beast
I couldn't find a towl or sccisors anywhere. Any suggestions?
If you be sure to brush them well BEFORE the bath, they comb out much easier after the bathe.
I'm getting a morkie on June 20th and I'm really excited! Your videos have really helped Thanks! :D

+Conor McTague Haha that's awesome! Dogs usually roll around in anything after a bath trying to get dry. Thanks for the subscription!
Conor McTague that's too often to bathe any dog. it's very drying for their skin.
Well she really doesn't like that doggy brush lol but she stayed still for the trimming

I never traumatize Rexie. I always snip the snarls out rather than use the brush or comb,
I traumatize free keep Rexie's eyes free of any staining.
My morkie Jeter hates baths
Is that 75% Maltese and 25% Yorker?

Yeah....we just bathe the dogs in the kitchen sink.

Me want morkie.
Morkie? No it's a mix. So tired of BYBs giving stupid names to mixed breeds.
+Mona B we are glad you enjoyed the video
A Morkie is a registered breed. Have a nice day!
