      Yes, Arizona is a very strange and beautiful place, you just can't dream up stuff that go's on here, I live in Reo Rico Arizona, it's right on the Mexican border, one of my favorite places is the Salt river canyon by Show low Arizona, my family has places there and Tucson , so the Mexican's have strange things too ? Arizona natives have a great history also... Keep in touch with Arizonans my friend...

      My wife, child and I just visited Arizona. We're from the Cincinnati, OH area and spent a week out there. Flew into Phoenix, went to Sedona, then to Williams, then to Grand Canyon. From Grand Canyon we went up to Horse Shoe Bend and Monument Valley (Yes, in UT). What's crazy is the different landscapes you see as you drive through AZ. You wouldn't believe you were in the same state as you move from 1 type to the other. The feeling you have out there and the energy you feel is hard to describe. I hate to sound corny, but it is almost mystical in a way.
      I can't wait to go back. My son is only 8 - so I definitely want to take him again when he's older and more capable of taking it all on.

    It's important work preserving the tales and histories and memories of the folks who've gone before us. It's doubly important to share them and pass them down so that they'll live on even after we have faded away. I very much appreciate what y'all are doing and I know there are plenty of folks who share my gratitude. Hat's off to ya.

    I walked about 6 hours in a few years back, sat down for a break, looked across the dry creek bed I was in and saw a pile of sticks and stuff at a bend in the creek. In the middle of the sticks was a small doll that was made out of white cloth with black hair, eyes, and mouth, and looked old, something like a Kachina doll. I was instantly gripped by the most intense fear I have ever felt, the thing was SPOOKY! I got up and started walking again like, holy sh!t I gotta move. Next time I sat down, the rock wall that I was sitting next to became the face of a woman out of the corner of my eye, a very kind motherly type of woman. I tried to look directly but her face only came through when I looked slightly away. This might sound nuts, but I could almost hear her voice in a way. At one point in the journey I climbed to the top of a hill and as I looked around I thought I saw someone across a canyon on another hill looking toward me. Again, I had been walking for hours and hours into the wilderness so to suddenly see someone looking at me from across a ravine kind of shook me. As I focused in on the figure I could see that it was a woman, with long black hair almost covering her face, wearing a buckskin dress. Thinking to myself, am I really seeing this? I stared for what felt like an eternity of a few more seconds trying to be sure because wtf right? That's when I saw her chest move like as if she was taking a big breath. Fighting the fear and feeling like I had again entered another dimension or something, I pulled the most positive energy I could from within myself, raised my hand to wave and greet them and like a cloud they dissipated into the air. If you go out there, don't go to take, and go with respect.

      To gain some knowledge of the Superstitions look for these three books Superstition Wilderness Trails West and & East by Jack Carlson & Elizabeth Stewart and Lost El Dorado of Jacob Waltz by Jack San Felice-also Jacobs Trail by Jesse Feldman also the Superstition Mountain Museum open now Thur thru Sunday of the Apache Trail about 3 miles north of Apache Junction has a great selection of Lost Dutchman Books. As to gold taken out of the Superstitions that is a tricky question because there were no records during the 1800s and early 1900s however the Woodbury Family and others took gold out of the eastern Superstitions and much gold was taked from Goldfield during the late 1890s. Currently there is no info on amount taken however these books mentioned above are very helpful and arer usually at the museum bookstore. phone number 480-983-4888 also wwwsuperstitionmountainmuseum.org good luck Jack San Felice look for me on the web by my name

    I keep an eye on this channel because I LOVE the stories, and Hank, Larry, Ron, Jack and Charlie are living legends, looking the part alright too. I always seem to want more stories about who and how is actively out there looking and more stories about Walz, Julia Thomas, the Peralta history, who's actually pulled gold out of there but keeps really quiet about it, all that stuff. It would be great if you guys could do a whole episode on the geology of the mountain range, and walk us through the map and where trails are and where sites are, where on the map someone who knows the stories would want to go if they had a day or two out there to explore.... where to go your first time out there, second time, etc. Thanks for all that you do, gentlemen. Wayne Tuttle, Legends of the Superstition Mountains, tells the same story of the floating banshee woman. It was Wayne that shot at the floating woman.

    • @Princess_Celestia_
      @Princess_Celestia_ 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Rey DeGuerra I recall Wayne Tuttle telling that story. He called the video "Bob Ward's Banshee" indicating that he wasn't involved in the actual story but was rather retelling it from the perspective of this Bob Ward fella who was accompanied by a fella named Randy Wright. Most likely Mr. Tuttle had, like Mr. Hank Sheffer said, most likely heard or read the same story and simply told it from the perspective of this Bob Ward.
      +Hank Sheffer Mr. Sheffer, your version is good and I really enjoyed it, but I liked Mr. Tuttle's telling a little better, he's just seemed creepier to me. I'll be looking forward to hearing these other stories you plain on telling in the future. And your right, Mr. Tuttle doesn't seem like the kind of guy to "blast away at ghosts".
