Neurons are the fundamental unit of nervous tissue. These are specialised for transmitting the information and messages, and coordination. Neurons carries electric signals, through which the information passes from one cell to another. Structurally, these are elongated units with the following parts : a. Cyton~ this is one of the most imp. Part of the neuron , which has cytoplasm, membrane, nucleus. This is also known as soma. b. Dendrites and axon ~ some fine hair like structures arises from the cyton , known as dendrites. The main function of dendrites is that they recieves information and electrical signal, and then the signal is passed onto the another. The longest process, which is a single unit , arises from the cyton is known as axon. Axon is responsible for carrying the nerve impulse from Soma to axon terminal, where the signal gets transferred to the other neuron by synapse. Axon terminal: These are the ends of neuron , from where the signal passes onto the another. Some nerves are myelinated as thick myelin sheath is covered around them , which is helpful in insulation. Neurons : these are found in brain , spinal cord and nerves.
Structure of neuron - 1) cell body in which nucleus is present. 2) dendrites cytoplasmic projections. 3) axon which is connected to cell body. 4) axon terminals i.e. ending tip of the axon. Function of neuron - Neuron is the structural and functional unit of the nervous system and in the form of electrical signals they transfer messages from one body part to brain or vice versa.
Neurons are the structural and functional unit of the nervous system. All neurons have three different parts - dendrites, cell body and axon. The neuron structure is specially adapted to carry messages over large distances in the body quickly in the form of electrical signals.
Neuron are cells found in nerves tissue it has various parts namely dendrites axon and nerve ending .It is branch type cell its function is to provide information to spinal cord which provide information to brain it helps us to react to stimuli .It provide messages so quickly

mam ur teaching is awesome answer: neuron is the longest cell in the human body it transmits the electrical messages Parts: Dendrites, axon, nerve ending, cell body the junction where the neuron communicate is called synapse Thankyou Byjus wonderful mam continue to upload many useful contents like this I like ur handwritting, teaching etc
Thank you ma'am for this amazing session. Homework Answer: The structure of neuron includes: dendrites -- Cell body - Cyton -- Axon(covered with myelin sheath) -- axon terminal --- synapse - another neuron The function of neuron is to carry electrical impulses or signals to order the body to do certain daily activities. 😄😄😇
Neuron consist of cell body, axon, and the axon terminal, the cell body consist of the nuelous. Dendrites and cyton, axon is covered by myelin sheath for protection
