    Would You set up a holding co now, with a sole purpose of keeping all the profits from trade in 1 or 2 separate ltd cos in the lower tax bracket ? (if You knew there was a chance of going over it)
    To THEN, hopefully reinvest it into a rental property - another ltd co to add as part of this holding co.
    Does that strategy make sense at all ?

    Thanks Joshua for this amazing content. I have 2 questions:
    1. Is it possible to set up a holding company as well as one of the subsidiaries here in the UK and have another subsidiary, based in another country, as part of the holding company? If possible, what are the tax implications?
    2. Secondly, is it possible to set up 2 or more subsidiaries of a holding company from the onset with the intention of trading with just one now and the others in the future? Will I need to file taxes on the LLCs that are not trading?
    Thanks again for your content

    Question: If you already have a trading company set up with the individual as the main/majority shareholder, couldn't the trading company become a holding company which would avoid the rigmarole of getting HMRC and the costs?

    I am just about to do this, my trading company is 14 years old, been doing well from day one but about 3-4 years ago it started to do really well!! I also set up a property business on the side to take advantage of an opportunity I only know about from my trading comp. I'm now moving all my shares to a holding comp. BUT... I am also looking at setting up a trust so I don't own anything at all. I was married and when I got divorced I took a big hit and I don't want that to happen again!! I also have a big pension that will be buying commercial property and renting them out tax freeeeee, there are so many benefits out there but you really need to educate yourself!!!
    I would love to hear you talk about Trusts and if you think they are a good idea???

  • @CraigBW
    @CraigBW 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    OK this is great content, I'm wondering how the Trust, Holding Company and Ltd company structure works in the UK. Also, as a UK citizen, can we utilise some offshore facilities to help maintain assets ownership privacy, and to stop some of our assets from appearing in the public search. I'm not bothered about governments knowing that I own these assets, but I really don't want everyday people to be able to search public records like the UK companies house, or Google to get an understanding ow what I own, and where etc. For example, having a UK trust that owns a USA LLC in Wyoming or Delaware for example. I'm new to this, but I want to get it right - cheers.

  • @jeremyl9515
    @jeremyl9515 ปีที่แล้ว

    If it's not worth it in the beginning, just have a regular trading company and when you know it's going to be worth it create the holding company and sell your trading company to the holding company, so you no longer holds any share from it. How's this logic, for folks that yet ready to pay all the extra accounting fee Mr. Tharby ?

Then ur other companies, pay license fees to it (that just so happen to equal the gross profit) which means no profit and no corptax from ur other companies. Then the cayman island company (whichbalso pays no tax) gives/loans rhat money back to the other companies.....
