The Irish Guy takes a look at Manchester United losing 4-0 at Crystal Palace, after two goals from Michael Olise. Business enquiries: irishguybusiness@gmail.com
Chelsea are just playing better than us, fair play to them we deserve to be in this position in the table, out of all the "big" clubs in the prem we are definitely the worst right now and its not even close, i hope Man Utd can do well next season but i dont know with Man Utd anymore
Jose "Do you want more facts about how bad things are at united ?" Reporter "No no no it's fine " Jose "I'll give you à couple more facts anyway " That football heritage press conference might be the greatest press conference in PL history 😂
I don't know why the irish guy says he is a defensive coach. Just because he plays "direct football" doesn't mean it's defensive. It just means it focused on getting the ball up the pitch quicker. You can still hold on to the ball and try to dominate games.
Glasner is not a defensive coach. When he arrived, the first thing he said about his style was, "i want to score goals." Just because he plays 3 centre backs doesn't make him a defensive coach.
The biggest problem is that the media never admits that palace win against bigger teams. It’s that the bigger team lost and then they never give palace the recognition! Glasner has turned this team around and it is refreshing to watch my team actually want to win a game rather than play for a draw!!!
@@Dwh-h couldn't agree more, big team bias is insane. Yes utd were bad, but we capitalized on that unlike other teams and thus deserve credit. Did Liverpool find their way through Utd... no. Even Man City in their second game together this season, didn't break Utd down, which they should have done even to a fully-healthy Utd team.
I’m a toon fan, and palace are my 2nd/fm team. You play so powerful and are next season if you keep your players. You will get Europe atleast. That squads exciting. So glad we sacked ashworth and your geezers coming in. He’s the real English talent finder from lower leagues
I figured it would be a rough transition for United after Fergie left, I just did not expect it to last 12 years. Not that I'm complaining, as an ABU this is hilarious.
Can we give credit to Glasner for how quickly he’s made Palace one real annoying team. Thought it’d take a few months but they’ve taken to his style/tactics like ducks to water!
All right Irish guy. I finally admit you were right about Erik ten hag. I posted a comment a few months ago criticizing you for saying he should be sacked because I thought it was too soon and man united weren't doing bad enough. Well now they're doing bad enough.
Same bro, I also was giving shit for the sack talks, but I'm more open to his sacking now, even with the injuries these results just aren't good enough
i mean, any manager can deserve the sack. Irish Guy was just screaming for it too early. I think we'll largely judge ten Hag for who he's replaced by later and how well that guy does in comparison. Much like e.g. everyone thought Mourinho deserved to go at Man Utd at the time, but in retrospect he did a pretty good job. Or Ancelotti finished what, 10th with Everton? It was viewed as a pretty poor result at the time, but seeing how they've turned into a relegation fighter every year since, that was also rather good. Thankfully as a non Man Utd fan i can just watch what they do and grab the popcorn lol. Do I think ten Hag should go? No clue. I don't really care in truth, either. And while it's generally fun to see teams succeed, there's something funny about their demise as a big club falling like this.
It would be weird to see Olise playing for France, where most players were born around the area of Paris. Like, imagine being surrounded by players who were born and raised in the *capital* of France, and you, as a _Londoner_ , are supposed to integrate with them.
@@TSRider25 it take sa *really* quick search to find where there players were born, and most of them were born in France. Also, how are you *never* tired of having this conversation every day?

If the Arsenal or City come in for any they'll walk, if Utd come in they'll run, away, fast. I'd quite like to see Olise at Arsenal but he would be better off staying at Palace for a couple years first to finish this part of his development because he likely wouldn't get much game time right now. Realistically he'd be competing for Martin Ødegaard's role, he's not ready for that yet.
I'm not a Man Utd fan but I think the biggest thing that we've all learned from Man Utd's decline in the post Ferguson era is that when you're signing a player the player's attitude is just as important and arguably more important than the player's talent.
Ferna’s final season 21-22 he was generally up to his normal standards tbh just getting phased out by Rodri. His dodgy season if anything was 19-20 but that’s cause he had to be used out of position a lot as we had a load of CB injuries, incredible player tho trying to be as unbiased as possible but insane consistency we couldn’t have achieved anything like as much as we did while he was with us without him
Breaking news Man utd have just signed Professor Brian Cox. Apparently he is the only person able to explain the massive black hole in the utd defence lol
If Manchester United want to reset the squad it's not going to be an easy transition. Because we've seen it with Chelsea this season. Tons of new players, very young squad, so much inexperience and it's been a season of growing pains. If United want that, prepare to risk finishing even lower in the table than usual.
Great point about Casemiro. The only two Brazilians I can think of who were still quality in their 30s, aside from already mentioned Thiago Silva and Gilberto, were Romario and Rogerio Ceni and Ceni was a goalkeeper! R. At 39, Romario was the top scorer in Brazilian Serie A for Vasco da Gama in 2003-04.
The last part was spot on. The club needs a huge clean out all the players need to be binned. Also we still don’t know ineos decision if ten hag will be staying or he’s gone. Either way, I just want this season to end
Olise choosing France makes sense. Both countries have super teams but one is run by Southgate and has not won a trophy since 1966, the other is run by Deschamps and in the past decade alone has been runner-up in the Euros, runner up in the World Cup, won the nations league, and has won the World Cup.
Let's be honest, the rot is set in so deep at Utd that only major surgery can turn things around but I don't see any indications that the people in charge have the will to amputate so these perennial issues will undoubtedly persist.
I don't disagree with you, but you have to admit hojlund doesn't exactly get a lot of service at utd, stick him in that city team and I could see him getting 20-25 goals a season
After seeing how Palace looked against us at Anfield (we weren't great but seeing Eze and Olise together for the first time in ages was scary), it was obvious they'd rip through United, especially with that non-existent midfield and defence. Man Utd fans, still haven’t worked out they are now only a slightly better than average team. They are not the crème de la crème anymore. As long as they keep demanding instant success they never will be. You need to get a manager in and build a team but maybe expect it to take at the quickest 4-5 years to challenge, because most of the squad, not just team, would struggle to get into 2/3rds of the other PL squads let alone teams.
I believe Roberto De Zerbi has proven to be tactically better than Ten Hag and I believe he should be the next United boss and should be allowed and given the power and time to oversee the Man United rebuild
