His album is reallly a experience, when you listen to it from beginning to end, I can't even describe it, but the emotions and the feeling of longing and daydreaming it's so well done, sound and visual... Tae said that Layover is a mini album where he wanted us and him to feel it like a station, a place where we can rest and take a time to think about our life, perfect to listen after work or school♥️ He said that he has so much more to show us, more songs and he already said that we can expect many different genres and concepts. I love him so much and I'm happy to see his artistic side coming to life in his albums💫

It’s definitely not a commercial project and yet landed at #2 spot on the Billboard charts. I think Slow Dancing depicts a fantasy world where he’s trying to be happy and forget the heartbreak. Everything there is pretend because he’s in a bit of a denial that something has come to an end. I’m For Us I think he comes to terms with reality and now has hope for the future. He’s still longing for what once was but this is a beginning of him moving on. Remember, Layover is a short stop before you move onto your next destination. I actually think that this concept can be applied to anything that we lose and morn. The lyrics assume a romantic relationship but the entire concept could also reflect V’s feeling of loss not being with his members and doing something on his own. It can also be viewed as a loss. My top two tracks are For Us and Slow Dancing.
I guess you missed the first hint on the MV thatvs y u didnt get the idea. The time where they took a pic inside the vehicle, you see the polaroid it's all HIM. Like all of tbe people he took pics with was all him. But yes it was a world he made. First listen on the whole album, i wqs so in love with FOR US. all the tracks are actually short.. U'll feel more of the music as much as the lyrics. I fell in love with the whole album in an instant ❤❤❤
I'm not great at theorizing but I thought Slow Dancing mv is him in his art studio creating artwork that reflects other places he wants to be and daydreaming about being there. Also I think the polaroid is very interesting because he takes a picture with other people but when you look at the photo it's multiple version of himself.
Yes, pretty much. I think also, as opposed to Peter Pan, that it's more like Where the Wild Things Are in the boat scenes. He's with all of the versions of himself and he's accepted them all, and this is a place where they can all be together and he doesn't have to "put someone away" for a while, but can be all of himself all the time. I think it's more than dreaming about these places, I think it's more like he has actually MADE these places and CAN go there. Just my opinion...LOL.

@roguechevelle I'm not that much of a detective ARMY either, I mostly just enjoy the music...but I AM an older ARMY (63) so I tend to have a different perspective just from being alive this long and experiencing so much. 😄

I believe he's telling us he creates his own world in order to do the things he's not able to do in real life. There he can have Yeontan always with him, friends from all over the world (Armys may be?) , see falling stars, etc. We always say he lives in his own world, well... he's confirming it! What genre is it? Easy! V's ! ... You knnow? it's not the first time that I feel like V's album has a lot to do with Jimin'd. Both are telling us about their struggles with the loneliness... both made awesome albums, both unique people.... Am I crazy for thinking this way?
I’m not good with theories. This album felt like his own diary. Like a song per page. His feelings pouring out slowly overtime. I listened to his album while it was raining out and it felt therapeutic.

Blue and For Us are my absolute favorites on this album. But all the songs are incredible and I could listen to him singing all day 💜
