So many beautiful and colorful fish, and why and what is that little bit of red coral? 💚💚

That was so cool the way you continued to work around the nurse shark hotel! They didn’t even startle! I think if I swam for the first time in the ocean with you as my guide, I too would be cool, calm and collected!

You’ve never swam in an ocean? You must be American?

Great video! I totally agree it’s a beautiful fish but it’s gotta go. I dive in Southeast Florida also. Have fun on your hunts!

Did they migrate to Florida or is it suspected they were let loose from someone aquarium?

Are there any reefs in remote areas where nobody is clearing off the lionfish? It would be interesting to see a reef with no fish at all and only lionfish on it.

Do you sell the fish to restaurants or wholesale outfits? If so, how much do you get per pound?

Might sound sick for saying this but it’s kinda cathartic watching an invasive species be put down.

in the absence of predators, the population of a particular species increases exponentially. you learn that in statistics

Teach the bull sharks to eat the lionfish.

That would be cool. Groupers and baracudas have been filmed eating them.

I heard they are good eating. Any truth to this?

Feed them to the sharks, then they realize they can eat them.

    1. Awesome work!
    2. Fish don't necessarily feel pain just because lionfish have a toxin that causes pain. It may cause pain to mammals and not to fish. Or maybe some fish feel pain and others don't. Or maybe fish experience something unpleasant other than pain from the venom. Or maybe fish feel pain, but not the the same extent that mammals do. It's hard to know since we aren't fish, but whether they feel pain or not is irrelevant.
