This makes me think about Mp3-players, Tamagochis, free AOL CDs, poisonous green as a trendy colour, huge and heavy computer screens, Microsoft Encarta, Furby, and electronics coated with flithy and sticky rubber which became a gooey mess in the last years.
I still have those huge heavy computer screens on my retro setups. This sounds great playing through the matching beige Cambridge Soundworls speakers. On Winamp. Running on Windows 98 😎
I play mostly Electronica at work everyday because of just that, only recently have I started playing this almost daily. It truly does help with the focusing, especially when working in front of a computer for 8 hours a day.
There's something about this song, maybe the pioneer 90s-ish feeling that makes me feel so good, is like a compensation for nostalgia... if that means something to you. I love the fact i can go back to really happy times in my life (usually when i was a lot younger, not that i'm not happy now though) this is great.
