22: 20---- THE MAN, THE LEGEND---- MIKE BEDNAR!!!!!
I love the chug of early GE's!
Music to my ears :D
Nice engines. They have more than enough power for a passenger train like that. They're so shiny, looks like someone polished them with autowax.
Great videos of a long-forgotten loco! Didn't know that U33b's were ever in passenger service. Interesting!
Great thanks ,Geoff.U.K.
Too bad these were eventually scrapped.
Always blow my mind on your material. These things looked great all in a line, but no emetions controls back then I guess. Cough cough. 😂
Saved to favorites!
Very Nice! Thanks for posting.
NICE.....LONG.....WONDERFUL....VID!!!!ENJOYED IT....."U BOATS" ???
Yes they are GE "U boats".
What year or years was this footage taken?
1991 and 92
How many of these rare diesels did they have?
Five. 3300 to 3304. 3302 had a mechanical failure early in the road's history and remained in CR blue until scrapping. The rest received the RDG-like solid green scheme. I never got any shots of 3302 before it blew up.
Are there any U33Bs left in existence at all? Nice horns on these U-boats, BTW.
All scrapped according to sources.
@@fmnut Well that's sad. Thank you for the reply!
@@fmnutI think there was one survivor in either Mexico or Brazil
@@nicholasmedovich8691 you are correct, Wikipedia lists 5 ex SCL going to FCCR. Can't find any references to where that is, though.
28:00 what on earth is that awful noise??
air pressure bleeding through the horn valve to the horns.
