    I'm trading in my zfold6 for a s25U. As much as I love the inner screen, I found myself really missing a better camera and battery life. In addition to this, typing on both the outer and inner screen has been an awful experience even after tinkering with settings and using gboard. Also, i hate the aspect ratio on apps like Tiktok and reddit. I'll miss the inner screen but I can't take the compromises anymore.

      This comment took the words right out of my mouth! I 100% agree with you! I feel like not too many people (even myself in this video) mention or saying anything about the compromises to aspect ratios on the screen for various apps.
      I too have a really bad typing experience with both inner and outer screen. I always just assumed it was me and GBoard just didn't like my thumbs!
      I will do a video comparing the S25 Ultra and Z Fold 6 in the very near future :)

    I feel that you're looking for the crease that's why you see it more. Once I start my video, I might see it for a few seconds then I barely notice it at all. I'm more in to movie or video than pay attention to the crease. I do however notice it more when using the SPen...

    • @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo
      @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo  3 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      In this situation I surely am trying to identify the crease for production value. I do agree with you for the most part, I do notice the crease less when I am watching a movie or TH-cam etc however certain angles still get me and then I become fixated on the crease lol quite possibly a Derek issue lol
      Thanks for the comment and watching!

    I really appreciated this review. I actually traded in my S24U because I was having issues with it (I won't go into). For me I loved the big screen but hated having the big slab in my pocket. So, I traded for the ZF6. What you said about using is closed is actually my experience as well. I usually only open it read a book or watch a movie. I also find that fold to be a distraction but beyond that sometimes buttons like the "subscribe" button won't work if I'm using the phone open. That's not only happened on TH-cam but other apps as well. For me the novelty of having a phone that becomes a tablet has kinda worn off. Anyway, great review. Thanks!

    • @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo
      @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      100% I completely get your point of view. I really had high expectations to use the inner screen all the time, but I actually found I don't. That is why I think me returning back to a slab phone won't be too bad imho. Each app aspect ratio is definitely a headache but I complete get it.
      So happy we have the same view on this!
      Thanks for watching and awesome comment!

    Does the "tablet" screen need a screen protector put on it?

    • @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo
      @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It does not. There is a pre-installed screen protector on the tablet screen. At first you will see it as your eye will focus on it, but then it'll just fade into the user experience. The screen protector is pretty good though I have seen some people across the interwebs speak about a pealing screen protector after a few thousand opens/folds.

    Great review! I've been a ZF user since the ZF3 and Samsung has made huge quality of life and durability improvements. That said, they need to up their game because other manufacturers have released excellent alternatives.

    • @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo
      @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for your feedback! I agree, the Fold's QoL features greatly improved the user experience but Samsung doesn't seem to be pushing for as much innovation as they used to. Hoping the Z Fold 8, 9, or 10's design language will be largely better (pun intended).

    I had to turn my Z- fold in 3 times for a new phone. Twice it wouldn't open all the way flat , 1 time, if i closed it, the phone would just completely power off. Im definitely going to the s25 ultra.

    • @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo
      @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Wow! I feel even though the engineering is really well made and out together for the Folding phone, that I am too gentle with it because of the potential of random screen/hinge breaks.
      Sorry to hear about your experience! I don't think switching to the S25 Ultra from the Fold is a bad idea at all. I'll be doing a video on the S25 Ultra comparing it to the Z Fold 6 comparison soon!

      Hello there!
      I believe if you or your family switched to a Samsung "s" or "z" series phone you will find yourselves very happy. Though keep in mind that Samsung's UI is ever so slightly more of a learning curve since Samsung One UI OS very customizable.

    The ZF is the best phone for me. I will never go back to a slab phone again. The crease I barely noticed and the camera I hardly ever use. I love the tri-fold Mate XT by Huawei So I am highly anticipating that Samsung will bring one to the market

    • @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo
      @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi! Thanks for commenting! Returning back to a slab phone for me will be a struggle but I think I can do it! I will have to say, the folding phone is a king at multitasking. I use the camera all the time, which may be a large cause of the battery consumption. As for the crease, I tried to not notice it - I really did lol! At the end of the day, sometimes it was all my eyes could focus on while using the Fold.
      As for the Huawei Trifold Mate XT, that thing is beautifulll! I Saw that Samsung had an icon of a tri-fold device at their recent unpacked event. If Samsung sells a tri-fold phone this year, would you trade in your Z Fold for it?
      Thanks for watching!

      Hi there! You know... I LOVE the Z Fold 6, there is so much to love! But I'll be real, I'll be switching it out for the S25 Ultra. Main reason - battery life and form factor. If money wasn't a consideration, I'd have both the S25 Ultra and the Fold 6 lol! Technology is an expensive hobby ya? lol!
      I will definitely be making a video comparing the S25 Ultra (whenever it is delivered to me) and the Z Fold 6 in case you're on the fence about it!

I personally think my next device is going to be the S25 Ultra (even with all the negative opinions) I just feel like the Z Fold 6 is not quite where I want it in terms of form factor. I hear based on rumors, the Fold 7 is supposed to be a little step in the right direction. Either way you go with the S25 Ultra or the Fold 7 you'll enjoy it!

    Wow, an honest review! I have the Fold6 too but I don’t use it. I’m currently using an iPhone 16PM, due to the Folds narrow cover display and the terrible cameras. I think the Fold7 is going to address these issues, and if so, I’ll trade the 6 in for it. Otherwise, I’ll stay with Apple.

    • @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo
      @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Honesty is the best policy! I think the outer screen is just too situational when I use it, and when I do, I do it horribly with a bajillion typos and mis-clicks!
      I hope the Fold 7 is wider and more updated than the Fold 6, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Samsung might drag out just a few upgrades vs what we want.

    Ive had my Z fold 5 for only 9 months and i already have dead pixels on the top of the large display. Very disappointed in that but I was able to get it replaced with a new Z fold 6 so hopefully this phone can last me until I decide to eventually upgrade to a S Ultra Series phone.

    • @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo

      Sorry to hear that! It is a real shame when you pay this much money for some weird faulty situations. Thankfully you were able to get a Z Fold 6 out of it. I am certain you'll love the phone as it is truly an engineering wonder but I can't blame you for wanting to resort back to a simple tried and true slab phone.
      Thanks for your input and for watching! I'll be comparing the Z Fold 6 vs the S24 Ultra whenever Samsung decides to deliver my S25 Ultra pre-order 😊😁😊

    I dont understand the damage and problems people are having with these phones. I have the 4, and i use it constantly. I'm always opening and closing it, and i have never had the problems people are complaining about. Maybe I'm just lucky, but maybe some people are just rough on their phones. And the crease doesn't even bother me. I understand that it has to be there has to be a crease, so it doesnt bother me. I'm just different i guess. 😏

    • @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo
      @Derektions_KnowBeforeUGo  3 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I feel like the Z Fold community can be very situational. People accept and adjust to the crease and some people (myself included) have a difficult time with the viewing angles and crease feeling. I respect and admire that you don't let it bother you!
      As for the phone damages, I believe this comes down to just some people being unlucky. I am sure Samsung has good QC for their products but some people just get those bad apples. I am happy you have not experienced any issues with your Fold 4!
      Will you upgrade to the Z Fold 7 later this year?

    You should sell it right away and bought the OnePlus Open.
    😮
    The OnePlus Open has:
    no visible inner screen crease,
    is thinner,
    better aspect ratio,
    better screens,
    better cameras,
    better battery,
    faster charging,
    Bluetooth stylus support on both screens,
    IR Blaster remote,
    better dust proof,
    better multitasking "Open Canvas",
    slider switch for silent mode,
    Rated to one Million folds, while zFold6 only to 200,000 folds.
    and lower price....
    Stop suffering with the inferior zFold6.
