JJY overplays his character Mac, that's why his character was always a fringe player in the show, and never one of the main characters or got any better material to work with. They paired Felicia with him only because they had to pair her with someone instead of making her a single parent and that's why the s/l in 2013 when JW came back for the anniversary show and limited run was so pathetic. It should never have been written as a triangle where Felicia chooses Mac over Frisco because it's so hard to buy. KW and JW always worked so well together because JW knows how to get the best out of her. It's why when you see Mac now coming back to work periodically with Robert, you never see Felicia
