Really well filmed, great job guys, love it! Awesome to watch both from a skating perspective as well as a historical record of the quake. Something to show your kids one day eh?
Great to see so many views since i first watched this.Had a wander around Chch cbd a year after and still couldn't come to terms with the scene. Amazing video.Have to disagree with a previous comment....Thom Yorkes melancholy voice fits superbly. We love ya Chch.Kia kaha.
Wow! Megaliphalous skills, on the boads, music selection, behind the camera, creativity and editing.! Fantastic that even an old crusty like me can be impressed by this display. So well done. So well done.
great skating, lovely camerawork, beautifully put together.. love it. there's something magical about using the wreckage left from the quake creatively like that, particularly when it's such a class act, making something good from something tragic. good work.
Great video guys!!! Keep the optimism, seize the opportunity and let's get this city back in track together. Please, keep skating among the ruins, they need a dose of youth, life and risk-taking. Your video gives me hope for my city and for our futures. Thank you! From a Spaniard in Christchurch.
Never really cared about skateboarding, but this vid is completely inspirational. It helps to restore my faith back in humanity! Awesome filming, editing and choice of music. Just the best.
Somehow this catches the eeriness of the streets of christchurch of the streets better than any news report. It reminds me of walking around the CBD and hearing, in the middle of a built up city, the kind of absolute silence you'd normally only hear in a forest or out in the wilderness. Amazing vid!
Im sorry you haven't had much progress in the rebirth of your city. You have done more for my awakening to this situation while amazing me with your skills. Just trying to find a QUAKED RIDE. LOVED IT SO MUCH. Well done guys.
Look here guys, I'm just a middle aged bloke with a mortgage from blenheim, but that was outstanding ,as in very, very well done, super camera work and editing, nice to see you can take damaged land and use it in such a cool way. to top it all off.......radiohead, 100 % pure genious. I subscribe, keep up what you enjoy doing...WELL DONE!
this is actually the best footage of the christchurch earthquake! you can actually see "behind the scenes" ..... better than the TV news coverage! great video
Nice, really nice! At least we can see people always pick up and continue life, no matter what has happened. This is a perfect example. And I love this song (who doesn't? :P)
This video deeply touched me. Not because of skateboarding. It touche me because of the message it has: Celebration of Human Life. No matter what happens, no matter what destruction we face, we celebrate life.
That was shot over the fitzgerald avenue bridge, which runs over the river avon. On the left side of the bridge, after the quake the bridge was a whole 2.8M lower on that side . . . scary stuff!
@charliehenryrufus I'm from ChCh and i think this video is really well done, it's inspirational. Yes people lost their lifes and we grieve for them but we've got to look ahead to a brighter future. :)
love ya work "...Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution..." - Albert Einstein
You found something beautiful amidst something terrible.
Skateboarding is amazing, it's powerful.
One of the best skate vids I've seen in a while! Great tune, great skating, amazing footage... and a stellar way to express the power of a quake.

As a fellow Christchurch resident, I think this is great. You've turned something brutal into something beautiful.
Loving the shots of Shirley Boys'. Used to hang out around that stage at lunch time. Ah...the memories. Nice video, dudes!
From someone who was part of the beginning of "modern" skateboarding in the early 60's - EXCELLENT! This production should join the classics. Cheers.
Excellent videography!
Wow ... awesome riding, filming, editing and music. I love it. Never seen such beauty in brokenness ...
