I had a dream Mattel released a reboot of the classic Tomy system, rebranded as "Thomas Classic", and the engines and rolling stock were incredibly detailed, but faces were CGI. Same blue tomy track, and new rebooted versions of classic sets. Only problem was, they were selling every locomotive for like nearly $1000 and every holiday-related set were set to release AFTER the related holiday. People got so mad they boycotted it and deliberately bought the actual original tomy sets and trains from eBay. What a dream, but I could totally see this happening.
Ive always dreamed of plarail releasing limited edition "throwback" sort of products for thomas' 80th anniversary. As in them using the classic faces, making sets/engines out of specific classic episodes, and maybe even RWS styled engines. Only a dream. But Plarail anniversary sets kinda suck now, so we problaby wont get something like this but who knows
I had this Thomas game I got for my birthday where the engines would climb a hill or something. You had the main hit cast and then MOLLY. Such a weird thing.
It always blows my mind that Molly of all engines rather than a Steam Team member got an RC Model. Hey, I'm not complaining though It's nice to see underappreciated characters in merch get some love especially ones that are underrated in the show! This model looks incredible. Shame it has such a disproportionate tender but I can't really complain about that since that was needed to actually be an RC model
For TV only characters Molly is kind top tear for me. I like her design, I actually found her character likable and felt she actually had some good episodes about her and I like how all of her toys look. I really wish we could have lived in the timeline where she got to come back and join the main cast instead of getting Rebecca.
Maybe the reason why the original Tomy/Trackmaster Molly has her tender powered because if it was powered in the front, then the firebox would’ve been bulky. And also, the RC Molly was originally going to released with a piece of rolling stock but never happened.
I always wanted a Molly growing up, especially after I saw as a kid a fan story with her and Thomas getting into an argument, then Molly goes down an abandoned line with a slide crash that makes the mountain here look small (a good triangle straight slide in my memory). Wish I remembered the story and creator.
They really should have extended the main cast to include Molly and Rosie in the hit era. I can totally see Henry and Molly being extremely close friends and spend a lot of time in Henry’s forest together. You could also have Edward be the main character that Rosie interacts with and have him be a father figure to her. This would have kept Edward perfectly in character like he was in the railway series and classic series while also keeping him just as prominent as the other main characters.
I remember Rosie had a somewhat brief interaction with Edward in either a late Brenner episode or an early BWBA episode, where he gave her advice. Would have definitely like to have seen more of that dynamic between them
I feel like they made Rc Molly out of the James shell but since Molly has a different chassis that’s why the rear wheel is so much farther than the back of the shell because the smaller front wheels are shorter
My Molly has the same problem regarding the incline. Percy and James as well, but oddly, Thomas can tackle inclines with little to no issue. That fact ALONE makes me favor using Thomas more than the others.
The R/C Molly is such a nice Trackmaster R/C Model when Tomy, Trackmaster and Plarail made Molly I don’t know why They put the motor in the tender instead of the engine and it will be nice if they put the motor in the engine.

they could've absolutely done an RC Toby, Rosie or even Diesel and those would've been absolutely fire. Hell they could've even done Henry aswell.
I can see it happening with Henry because of how big James and Molly's fireboxes were, it would be perfect for Henry.

These rc characters give me good memorys but i like the 3 speed one a bit more because of the greater speed and the ability to change the speed
