I'm so glad I lived long enough to see Epiphone returned back to top professional quality 👌 only wish Les Paul himself was here to see his beloved Epiphone back..

They still have a lot of quality control issues. So I wouldn't label them 'professional quality.'

@@karlmartin849 Hmm, so does Gibson and Fender. Ask me how I know. Anything which is manufactured is subjected to quality control issues. Epiphone is definitely professional. Almost as many acts who have made it big use Epiphone as Gibson and Fender. And I'm not even talking about the Beatles. Modern acts.

I love the single pick version of the Epiphone Emperor. Replaced the factory neck pickup with a hot P90 and it howls. Nice

Wiring issues with the guitar in the video. He was playing the parallel wiring the entire demo. The original humbucker sound switched at the end of the video when he demo the pushpull pots.

So do the push/pull knobs change the pickups from series to parallel or is it a coil tap? He said it both ways and they are different.

I agree that it looks great and sounds horrible. I would have liked to hear something other than open chords though as this is not an acoustic guitar.

Might be the amp. Cause I have this guitar in blue and has really smooth tone. I have a Boss Katana 100

Honestly I’ve been playing a bunch of gretsch’s for two weeks to find one I like.. saw this used at a store and like it the most. Play them and find one that fits you best, both great guitars can’t go wrong just gotta find yours

    Looks Great, Sounds Horrible.
Put in a Good Quality Set of Tron Style Pickups and you should be good to go.

Would be nice if they used someone who can actually put it through it's paces instead of just 3 chords

Sounds horribly thin in this recording. Jangly does not have to be void of some low frequency 🤨😐😑
