I woulda supported giving Monty another year to prove himself......but.......his first impression in the "D" was certainly beyond "suspect" given his record and history. Seems Trajan gonna have the entire new model, blueprints and plan in place before a single word is spoken lol. In Trajan we trust? I guess 🤔
Shows how little you've paid attention. Pistons had nothing but a one legged Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond who can't start on any team to build off of. Pretending that Weaver was supposed to be in the playoffs or something with that roster shows how little you know.
@@Ejohns1004 Progress is the little that I'm looking for. He traded away all of our valuable players for what??? What do we have to show for the past 4 years??? How many of the draft picks that he has selected are here? His job was to BUILD A TEAM. He can't be given any credit as he doesn't deserve any....... I swear you Troy Weaver apologists are a strong group.
@@MisterJiggles what valuable players did he trade. Name one. Just name one objectively great player that Weaver traded whom you would be willing to give a max or near max contract to.
@@MisterJiggles I 100% agree with you dude. Blows my mind how some people still try to defend Weaver even after he’s already been fired. Weaver lost more trades than he won, never acquired a war chest of future picks/assets, drafted decently but a lot of those picks were easy to make, and most importantly he flat out FAILED to assemble a team that was gonna help our young talent develop, maximize their abilities, and learn what it takes to be a professional and win at this level. The only thing I’ll thank Weaver for is not touching and ruining our salary cap.
@@Ejohns1004weaver let Christian Wood walk for nothing and signed injury-prone Olynyk for just as much. Weaver waited too long to trade Drummond, only getting late second rounders in return. Threw in a second rounder to trade Mason Plumlee to Charlotte despite the fact that THEY should have been giving US the pick since they desperately needed a starting center. Waited too long to trade jerami grant. Drafted Killian Hayes over Haliburton. Brought in Burks and Bogdanovic and then gave them away for nothing despite them having greater trade value to a variety of contenders. Wasted money on countless free agents who didn’t pan out - Lyles, Josh Jackson, Olynyk, Bagley. Used a first round pick on a proper core piece in Saddiq, only to trade him for James Wiseman.
Wow!!!! He is a former NBA Coach of the Year (2022) 2× NBCA Coach of the Year (2021, 2022) and was the NBA All-Star Game head coach (2022). The dude coached his previous team the Suns to an impressive 194-115 record in four seasons. The Suns reached the 2021 finals in his second season and won a franchise-record 64 games in his third. So now, after one season in Detroit with not much talent you fire him and pay him all that money to stay away?! That's crazy man!
I want Mark Jackson
Tayshaun Prince as GM, and Jerry Stackhouse as Coach!!!
Saginaw native Darvin Hamm makes too much sense. Bet they hire Darko lol.

Monty was smart ASF get the worst record get the biggest payday and get fired with your money next year, what a plan. Should had been a coach😂😂😂
Who is Adham Beydoun?
Why do we the people have to hear about Monty Williams 60 million over and over this is none of our business, hashing our dysfunction is insane
Stop defending Weaver, Bro had 4 years and he put the franchise in REVERSE!!!!

I respect Monty 💰chasing ability
MARK JACKSON
Mark Jackson plz holy GOD
What if they handed the keys over to Fred. I’d love to see jjs basketball knowledge thrown into cades brain tho
James Borego I feel is coming.
Who is going to want to come here for anything less than what Monty got?
This is not an attractive organization right now.
The Detroit Pistons on Wednesday fired coach Monty Williams after one season, absorbing the remaining $65 million on his contract.

Monty need to be my money coach🤣
Slow down on the love for tragen this is exactly how it started with weaver
So #Reparation for all those centuries of unpaid labor. As just as wealth is passed down so is debt.
Gores & Weaver, the worst Owner GM pairing in NBA history!
Put down the Kool aid, this organization is a dumpster 🔥.
Go get Chris paul😂😂😂
Yes yes 🎉
