Every once in a while I come back and rewatch this video lol. I know she's already said this was a concept but looking back you realise just how important having a female idol like her was. Someone who didn't care for humility politics and allowed her self confidence to shine wherever she went, regardless of whether it made men uncomfortable or not. KARA's amazing legacy aside, she will always be one of my favourite idols of all time for this.

Star golden bell is such a trip down memory lane. Used to wait for this every week when I was young and seeing this just made me miss it even more. To add, Gyuri was my favourite member here, so this was nice to watch.
I just discovered her like today and this is the kind of behaviour I want every idol to show. Like there is nothing wrong about hyping your own self up. I started following kpop at the beginning of the 3rd generation and it's very bizarre how idols that were so natural before can't even show a honest reaction without gaining hate comments nowadays

I really think she is so pretty. I saw KARA first at a magazine and she was outstanding the most. I kinda confused at that time why she rarely mentioned in the most beautiful idol list, usually it were Yoona, Suzy, but they rarely included her
Gyuri has a bit of foreign look to her. Maybe the voters prefer traditional Korean beauties. Or perhaps they just follow the trend and bandwagon. KARA is no longer in their heyday sadly. Though I agree Gyuri looks stunning and I would definitely rank her tops among 2nd Gen GG (I’m unfamiliar with the current GGs)

actually, she is the most beautiful female idol in gen 2. She was right all the time. you can see yoona in the same program and guyri outshined anyone. it is just the media play influence

Star golden bell is such a trip down memory lane. Used to wait for this every week when I was young and seeing this just made me miss it even more. To add, Gyuri was my favourite member here, so this was nice to watch.

I just discovered her like today and this is the kind of behaviour I want every idol to show. Like there is nothing wrong about hyping your own self up. The only idol these days who comes close to this level of self love in my opinion is Joy and Jisoo and even they aren't that blatant.

Yet she still exudes warmth, charm, and down-to-earth humor, while garnering the much needed publicity for Kara in a competitive and relatively small K-pop market. No one can carry out this persona and feat quite like her, even to this day. I would not advise other people including woke Hollywood to follow her example like it were some plug-n-play formula - they'd come off as just arrogant, narcissistic, and out of touch, without any of her warmth, sass, and charm.
