    It's so true I lived in Singapore and wherever I wear the serban people called me sufi and wherever I wear like Saudi people called me Salafi... So its seems like society really differ us based on our clothes like your Aqidah must be like this if you wear like this... Thanks Sheikh after listening to this video I'm more aware that this does not only happened in SOUTH EAST ASIA but The Whole World... What's have we become, how do we stay United against the kuffar when we are against ourselves based on clothing...

      Abid Al-Sanghafuri hahaha not only the males.the females even get discriminated for wearing a DIFFFERENT kind of scarf/hijab/tudung. most,MALAYSIANS,INDONESIANS AND SINGAPOREANS are very judgemental.subhanallah.how could one determine a faith of a person by judging his/her clothing.

    This is so true. When I went for umrah and I wore the scarf I got treated differently. Saudis give you Salams, they treat you better etc. But as soon as they find out your not (by opening your mouth) the look of disgust on their face says it all.

      This is an issue present in all Muslim countries. They respect you more because you are wearing Saudi clothes. Just as in south Asian countries they respect Muslims who wear their clothing. If I dress in a thobe and a shemagh non-Arabs ask me why am I imitating Arabs.

    That's true! Better to see the person as he or she is and not trying to be a hypocrite and trying to 'fit in'. Have seen non muslim journalists wearing a burqa and smoking (while wearing) it. Physical appearances do not always reflect what is 'on the inside'. Only Allah knows the best !

    there was a big mistake from this man; saying that a woman without a hijab is no different than one with. ..it's all in the heart; this is watering down the deen and a type of irja, taqwa manifests itself on the limbs and you will see it...it doesn't remain inside it shows on the outside. Therefore if a woman or truly fears Allah it will show in their appearance...

    • @NisCho754
      @NisCho754 7 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      But brother, not everyone who wears hijab do it for the sake of Allah. Just because you wear hijab doesnt mean you've automatically taqqwa. Maybe that's what Shaykh Hasan Ali meant when he said it's in the heart and imaan is first. Please dont get me wrong, I'm not saying "imaan is everything and the rest isn't important", alongside with Imaan we also have to make it practicaly like salah, hijab and follow every other command of Allah. But the things is everyone struggles differently, for some it's very easy for others it's really difficult أهل العلم People Of Knowledge

    • @mood7119
      @mood7119 7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      I agree with everything the person above me said. But see everyone is on a different journey. While a girl without a hijab may look like she's less of a practicing Muslim (lacking taqwaa) than a hijabi sister, that could very well be wrong. You're doing exactly what the shaykh in this video is saying not to do; judging other Muslims. I understand you feeling like you needed to point out a mistake you think the shaykh made but maybe choosing our words carefully next time will benefit us more. أهل العلم People Of Knowledge

    • @musabhai111
      @musabhai111 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am sorry brother but your point is only partially true and has very little weight. People with British, American and some other European passports as well get paid a hell lot more for the same Job profile as others from Asian nationalities who are even a lot more competent and more qualified. Some Asian people who even have educational degrees from European, American or Canadian universities which the people from those countries getting paid more do not themselves have. The difference in salaries is so great, that the Americans who could not manage to buy a 300k to 400k $ house working their ass of in their own country for 10 to 20 years, buy it within 2 or 3 years here without even needing a mortgage. Then they even make loads on top of that.
      More over the 3rd world country people are also there to make their life better. The long term goals that people do jobs for like making a house, saving for your children's college etc, is if not exactly equal but nearly same cost as any other country. Also mind you the 3rd world countries have less government aids, less effective retirement programs, less effective medical support in fact no free medical facilities or GP, NO free education and the list can go on. So by your logic they should be compensated more.
      At the end of the day it should not be a competition of whether what country your are from, first or third world, it should be on merit, how qualified and competent you are. But sadly it is hardly the case in the middle eastern countries, like UAE, Quwait and Saudi Arabia. They have their plus points for sure but this discrimination is definitely there and no justifiable by what you say considering the huge difference in the wages.
      By the way where did you get 4k to 5k$ average salary a month? That is around 60k $ per anum. I highly doubt that figure. A simple google search (I copied at end) would show you that what you are saying is only the average income for people with higher degrees even PHDs. Most people from European countries and US that come to Middle east do not even have a bachelors degree and some have it from some 3rd grade institution which might not even give them a 2k $ job per month in their own country. The fact is that why would these people from First world countries LEAVE their first world country and come to middle east if they were not going to earn way more than what they could earn in their First world country?
      .* The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported a median personal income of $865 weekly for all full-time workers in 2017.[3] The U.S Bureau of the Census has the annual real median personal income at $31,099 in 2016.[4] Inflation-adjusted ("real") per-capita disposable personal income rose steadily in the U.S. from 1945 to 2008, but has since remained generally level *

Personally i dont believe in doing anything intentionally just to make myself look more like the indigenous in order to fit in. i could care less and just go with the look thats more comfortable and natural to what you stand for.

    They think that they are Islam, everyone else is an outsider. While Islam is much bigger than them, it’s a religion for all of humanity, and not bound to a single country, culture, or look.
    Islam is not a shemagh, a scarf, or a turban. I might be wearing a jeans and a t-shirt but still a devout, loyal Muslim; I might be coming from the savanas of Africa wearing traditional African clothing, while still a devout Muslim. “God doesn’t look on your pictures or how you look, but looks on what’s in your hearts”.

    If the persons heart was good and following the sunna then his actions would follow that as well. So a woman that just wears pants is most likely (in general) a person who’s not following the orders of Allah Azza wajal which means her heart (is generally not a submissive heart)

    Hijab or not has nothing to do with one's personality I once (met quite a few) but her, I remember a Hijabi was so arrogant that it shocked me. Not to mention many Arabs who (usually Palestinians) who talk about Islam constantly and yet sell alcohol in the inner cities for food stamps which is illegal. Walk into any inner city mini-mart and see for yourself If clothes made people then Muhammed Bin Salman of the al Saud family is a Malaika and NOT the war criminal...while one must dress appropriately it does not make a person.

    If a brother looks like a Muslim, has a beard, garment above the ankle, wears the known dress that Muslim men wear, thoub, Qamees, panjabi etc or sister wears the Hijab, Niqab etc then they willInstantly known to be Muslim and a religious practicing muslim. As for one who has no beard etc or doesn't wear the Hijab etc then it will be difficult to recognise if they are Muslim or not. Umar radhiAllahu said we judge a person based on the apparent outward and leave the heart to Allah to judge. Also certain Muslim sect dress in certain ways, so people identify based on that

    I swear to God that's how it is. Never mind the kids you've gotta be a Rajjal(Man) unless you're funny and sarcastic and Arab and moving your hands and wearing Long thawbs and dresses and Scarfs and jewelery and making all of these expressions and saying wallahi al adtheem yani it's a kid leave it alone ya Abu Hajir or Abu whoever give the kid the tamr he's been fasting from dusk till dawn after every sentence. They control the kids like the police they use authority. Nobody can say hands to yourselves or I'm going to call the cops. The cops are Arab and they like Money. The Arab kids know their status there kept under control. Disrespect to Authority is never tolerated. The Parents hardly lose control. The regular guys they barely say Salam to the regular people the rich Arabs their laughing and Hugging each other and Shaking hands and doing their 3 fake kisses gesture and then the contempt face to let him know the kisses were fake and the other guys like ya I know I have to do it for the greeting as well and stuff lol. Like the Arabs if you don't talk and fight they think you're homeless there looking at you like miskeen wallah where are his parents? Does the kid talk? Is it a hayawan(Animal). They also smile way to much. I've seen them go up to people and sell their products like it was nothing the guy knew it was fake but still bought it anyway because the Arab brought like 6 people with him and their like putting their arms around the poor guy and saying it's for the Sake of Allah my brother it's Ramadan have some shame, Fear Allah. Then their products are sold. Like they'll purposely start a fight with you to judge if you're a Man or a child and then see if I can control this guy for money or not. These guys there extremely generous but it's like You have to be Arabic to Fit in. These guys when it comes to business omg there ready to talk. Islam they also use it as a way for controlling. The women don't even pray they go to the clock tower to shop and buy purses,jewelery, and Starbucks they prefer that over taking care of their own children. I've witnessed it myself. I didn't see one Rich Pakistani or Indian Man they all got the low paying jobs. In Madina, there were some like half Pakistani Half Arabic Guys like more Afghani. I could understand their language a bit. These guys had more respect and were more humble they would make people laugh and had Charisma. The arabs also didn't dress like they were that rich and were more humble they had the silent confidence though they still wore watches and kept their women in control they had like 3 and 4 of them. Some of their scarfs were like tied up and not touching the floor when they walked. They had like friends or bodyguards or something. The soldiers were completely illiterate. They just stood their walking and patrolling. There were some lone wolfs who sat down and just read Quran and were trying to appear cool with their red Scarfs and dressing and white Thawbs it absoloutely has to be white. A black one omg I just seen a devil kids are crying women are running the Men telling the Guy you've gotta smile a bit and this and that. Public appearence 100% matters. The Old Men are sitting on their thrones and commanding people to do this and there like happy to help tafadhal to the Arabs Hareeq ya Hajji but it's for reputation they do this for free mind you because there already rich and secure so they help the Guests and newcomers. Nobody is depressed like they won't allow you it's a sunnah to smile ya akhi even if you're the friend of the devil. Like they do backhanded compliments. Modesty is obviously huge but it's like the women are covered but the clothing isn't loose and they walk around with their fathers money like they rule the World. Arrogant and imsh ya akhi. Then sometimes lo samiht in a really nice voice if the Arabs are around the women become submissive. They just feel contempt unless you speak Arabic they want to convert people. For some reason they don't tell people why are you acting arab they like it when people copy them it boosts their ego. They also love laws and Control. Stealing and crime isn't allowed.

    Everything was said nice but one big mistake with the hijab example. For a man is no fard dress code except covering the aura but for women is hijab fard. So how can a sister with hijab be equal to a sister without hijab?

    • @NisCho754
      @NisCho754 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Assad Assad
      as a girl I can tell you for sure that many hijabis might look very very religious out side but their behaviour is nothing you want to know about. And then there are sisters who might not cover their hair but other than that they dresse modestly and they’re among the best sisters out there.
      Just coz one wears hijab doesn’t mean she is a better Muslim, some wear hijab to please people and to look beautiful and then we have sisters who doesn’t wear hijab but she she wants to wear it for the sake of Allah.
      So brother, the inside also matters, as Shaykh said “the fear of the heart”.

      You can treat them the same because hijab doesn't make you a Muslim belief in 1 God and believing Muhammad is His slave and messenger makes you Muslim....and if they believe that then they are you sister and good treatment from you is an obligation on you to her not if a person is wearing a hijab.

    Well said beloved and respected ustaad! Most of the saudi's are really racist towards people of the sub continent. I knew all of this before I went omrah, you know what I did? I did not give a dar n! I walked with my afghani pakol and I afghan partog qamis, and I did not care about anyone there. I have to be honest, some saudis and yemenis there respected me when they knew I was from afghanistan, they smile and ask beautiful questions. But some like you said are really ignorant and have too much kibr. May Allah subhannahu wa ta'ala guide us all.

    Only the ignorant Juhhal will judge someone based on their dress. But when going against the obligation and principles of Islam and Sunnah then we are to judge based on the apparent and leave the issue of the heart to Allah.

    Sunnah wearing Sheikhs dressed like this, sadly, won't make it far, in most parts of the world's gulf Arab countries.
    Shaykh Hasan, would fare better off , if he took pointers from Mufti Menk's gulf arab sheikh wardrobe (bisht thawb and ghitra nishama) specialist! He had a talk in the UAE last Friday 19th.1.18 at the Zayed bin Mohammed Family Gathering. This "Englishized" "Mishari Rashid ElEfasi" style works up like magic, here.
    To make yourself more acceptable in the Saudia by the Salafi influenced parts or peoples of Saudia ,the UAE, other the gulf states, other Arab, and nonArab Saudi-Salafi-Wahabi influenced places and peoples of the Islamic world, wearing the red and white wear checkered shimaakh, would make you fly very well here.

    On the other hand.. :) It depends from culture. Wearing black clothes in a country where majority wears colorful clothes (or vice versus) would catch too many regards and attention ! Should be more about choosing golden 'middle' path, isnt it !?
