- Since 1903, just 4 times in MLB history a team went on a 20+ game winning streak. The 1916 Giants being the first team to do so on their 26 game win streak that has still not been topped. The next being the 1935 Cubs which was gave them the pennant as they would go on to lose the 1935 World Series to the Tigers. The one after that being the most famous in the 2002 Oakland Athletics, topped off with a Scott Hattiesburg walk off home run, seen in that movie "Moneyball." And the most recent being the 2017 Cleveland Indians who would go on a 22 game win streak for the current American League record.

Great video!! My spouse and I watched every day after the 10th of the Cleveland streak and it was so sickening sweet to watch them crush. It felt wrong tbh - but legitimately it was so much (good) baseball that was impossible to miss - I was almost relieved when it ended!
The Jay Bruce walk off(s) is an underrated all time Cleveland sports moment IMHO. Maybe forgotten since he’s largely known in Ohio for being a Red??
20 games? The 1869-70 Cincinnati Red Stockings won 81 straight. I know the competition wasn't great, but, still, it was the hype surrounding this that really launched professional baseball.
Different eras entirely. 1861-1905 was it's own era. • 1906-1940 it's own- heavily dominated by NYY. 1941-1995 it's own. 1996-current has been the science, drug & analytics era. Last year's White Sox would kill the 1869 Red Stockings. I assume
Theres a harsh cut at 1:59 with missing info
, noticed this in another one of your recent videos as well so i thought i would make sure you were aware.
great stuff though, keep it up!
2017 was not the Indians first time winning 100 since 1954. They went 100-44 in '95. Yes, a strike-shortened season, but I'd say 18 fewer games actually makes it more impressive.
