⚠️Manga Spoilers ⚠️ At first i actually imagined that, what if kotoha accepted douma as a demon and became a step father for inosuke? It would actually be a great oppurtunity for demon slayer since most of the antagonists are demons, if viewers weren't blinded much by nezuko's cuteness there could've been a human antagonist. Like douma makes kotoha a demon then makes inosuke his spy for the demon slayer corps. It would actually be a great plot twist. But kotoha throwing inosuke off the river dieing, then inosuke being raised by a boar and being taught words by an old man who fed him,then becoming one of the greatest demon slayers, is still a much more complex story for inosuke and for me.

Okay, heres a more detailed explanation. Inosuke's father and mother-in-law were very abusive. To protect her son, Inosuke's mother ran away. She stumbled into Doma, and joined his 'clan' his clan was just an organization where he made people trust him and then kill them. He did like Inosuke's mother. He actually states in the manga that he might've kept her until she died her normal human life. But when Inosuke's mother found out, she ran and Doma followed her. She reached a dead end, and in hopes that Inosuke might survive, she threw him off the cliff. She got killed, while Inosuke miraculously survived and was raised by boars. (I also think the mask he wears is the head of his late boar mother.) Shinobu faced Doma and Shinobu unfortunately died, but before that, she speared him with a special kind of poison. And with the help of Lady Tamayo, she ate that poison for months, so if Douma were to eat her, he'd be eating all of the poison as well. Kanao and Inosuke fought Doma until the poison took its effect.
Doma: I may not feel it, but Inosuke's mother is such a cheerful woman after escaping her horrible husband and I loved her beautiful, cheerful face. After that, these were nothing but sad memories.
Doma would be a saint as the leader of the Eternal Paradise cult if the following didn’t happen. He had superstitious parents. He had no emotions. He’s a demon.
