WRSU and WSOU New Jersey - 1st time i heard this song in the early 80s! Cassette record and part of the ultimate mix tape. Partys and good times. Great band.
I would like to thank my ex brother in law, Alain, for introducing me to this band. Ever since 1987, I've been listening on a constant basis RLYL.
they never had a bad song underrated band level joy division, cure, bauhaus
Since 1987, when I first heard “Monkeys On Juice” being played on KFAI FM - Minneapolis, The Lorries have always been my musical definition!
This is THE version to listen to.
What a great band, and what a tune!

Saw them in Boston 1985 with my girlfriend (now wife).
Fantastic track, thanks for the reminder...
I think I was the first of my friends to have even heard them back then
Saw these guys at the Ritz, in NYC, mid 80s...I love them!
Wouah j'avais complètement oublié ce groupe et je retrouve ce morceau que j'adorais adolescente !!!
excelente banda mis favoritas en la lista
Tiene muy buenos tracks!
I haven't heard this in furry, oops, forty years.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Can’t find this version on Apple Music, only a seemingly live one that’s nowhere as good as this. This is the one I had and used to love!
This recording is from 1983 for the This Today E.P.
Awesome track, one of great songs Paul..
Not the version from the first single indeed. This one is 30 seconds
longer.
And is still only available digitally on the smashed hits comp despite the plethora of cherry Red re-issues.
Actually prefer this to the single mix.
The first and definitely the best single from Red Lorry Yellow Lorry. Is it true that there were only 500 copies made of the initial 7"?
It is great, but I always preferred Generation. OK, never an A-side release, but a storming track.
I can't see why anyone ever compared The Lorries to Joy Division :)
They DO have a few songs that really bring JD to mind. Not this one though.
I totally agree. Similar components, but the music writing is quite different.
time 2 make a cover, istn't it
This needs a remix. Terrible production, but awesome tune!
I suspect Chris Reed would not agree with you. But hell, I've only seen the Lorries and Chris Reed solo around 30-35 times, so what do I know, eh?
The murky production kinda befits the tunes and their sentiments thereof
