Yeah too bad after 10 years BMW didn’t think about adding backlit lighting for the handlebar switch gear for night riding or early mornings in garage. Just adds to another fi and finish element on a premium product.

As this was a review from a goldwing rider I was waiting to hear comparisons. For example 2 fantastic options on the wing are reverse gear & Android Auto/Apple Carplay integration. The reviewer didn't really comment on much as regards how the K compares to his Wing.
I'd presume especially with such a large screen that the BMW has AA & Carplay but the reviewer didn't mention. I'd also hope for the convenience of a reverse gear but again no mention by a gold wing rider. The review is suspiciously golden tongued and without comparison to the competition.

K1600 no Apply play or Android, they have their own App which isn’t bad and allows GPS, Music etc

Great review. Honest and concise. I agree to a point about your comment on the switches/controls,, However after a very short time on the bike the controls become intuitive and very easy to understand. My biggest grip is we lost the Garmin Navigation and now it's routed from our phone to the TFT via Bluetooth. I'm not a fan.
But the bike really is a wonderful touring with the ability to ride it somewhat like a sport bike.

Great job. Premium motorcycle. That motor is amazing. As a K16GT owner & 6’ 2” my only complaint is room. BMW needs to provide more room for bigger people. I had to install a Wunderlich riser & footpeg lowering kit along with an RDL saddle to find long distance comfort. Their stock seats are poor (as are most stock seats) after an hour. Amazing motorcycle once set up properly. Reliable too.

You can set up “quick button” rather than use the screen

This TV show is such a waste of time. It's mostly a glorified commercial for new bikes. They always give glowing reviews of the bikes which is very suspicious and makes me suspect the "reviews" are funded by the manufacturer.
Another gripe is they never really cover the off road world of motorcycling. Where's the reports about local clubs and the events they put on. I want to see segments on the Ontario Trail Ride series (Calabogie Boogie needs an entire episode), Enduro, Scrambles and Trials. People need to see that there is a strong off road community with lots of fun events.
