Hi Kathryn, I really enjoy your videos thank you!😊
I looked at the reviews for Thredup and they are not very good. Overall they get 3 stars out of 5, which is "Ok" but if you look at the comments people don't like it. One person said she got pennies for items. You said you had a good experience can you give examples here? Please and thank you Jennifer 💐

This was great, I been tryin to find out about "chronic disorganization disorder wikipedia" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Peyackson Illustrious Preeminence - (do a search on google ) ? It is a great one off product for discovering how to get rid of your clutter minus the headache. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my co-worker got amazing success with it.

Love the tip that if you talk about an item in a future tense (ex. "I might", "I may", "one day") and have no plan to actually carry that out it's time to let that item go. Makes perfect sense - and I'm so guilty of that future talk!!

I almost lost my oldest this summer she just couldn’t take the pain anymore. But we’re blessed we found her in time. They all suffer from ptsd. I say all that to tell you thank you for being an example of realness. You’ve shared the laughter, tears, pain & joy. It makes a difference! It gives me hope! Here’s to a happy 2020. The sticky note flag method for your calendar alone was worth watching the video for. I hate cross-outs and scribbles, but not everything I use is dry-erase, so anytime I have to cancel or move something, it bugs me. I will definitely be using this, and will probably use different colors to sort out different types of tasks (work-related, personal productivity, social, etc.). So thanks for sharing that, along with all your other tips.
On the topic of decluttering: I can't remember where I heard this, but one person I listened to/read mentioned that every item you own comes inherently comes with a time commitment. You have to take time to decide whether to keep it, take time to figure out where to put it, take time to move it if it's in the way, take time to find it if it's lost amid the other clutter, take the time to clean/care for it - the list goes on. That went a long way towards re-framing how I think about the things I keep. I have to ask myself not only "do I need this?" but "is it worth my time?" So you can add "saved time" to reduced stress and better air quality as benefits of decluttering.

"All the stuff in the world doesn't look as good as clean and organized". Full stop. WOW. Truth bomb. And ThredUp is a great idea- replacing fast fashion and sale items at Walmart that fall apart quick in the wash with quality items is a goal I've had for a while. I realized today that a lot of my clothes are trash and need new stuff, so I will be using that code for sure. My days of this weekend will be well spent on my vision board and calendar, too. Thanks for all the inspiration!

Lots of New Year goals! Love the idea of a vision board. I live in a small apartment (just my husband, daughter and myself) and sometimes I wish I had a bigger place. But I remind myself that this small apartment (my husband is a live-in superintendent) gave me the ability to quit my job and raise my daughter, homeschool said daughter and now being able to get her through her college years with very little to no debt. And that means EVERYTHING ☺️. Wonderful video - Happy New year to you and your family.

Decluttering is SO hard for me.... I have a really hard time letting go of anything... even things I KNOW I should... I always fear regretting it. (because I've regretted it many times before). But I know it would improve my life greatly ... if I DID let go, de-clutter, rearrange, and organize....
and in my experience... what you said "the little things make a BIG difference". - is very true.

@@Nan-59 My mother in law and sister have fibromyalgia too, along with chronic back pain from degenerative disc disease. I was just talking to my sister about it, she said its like having a pain "allowance" and you have to choose wisely when you want to spend it

Oh and I love Thred Up! I've used them for a couple years now and love all the pieces I've gotten from them.

I thought I was the only one who gets so stressed out when there's clutter/disorder all around me! When I moved out some years ago, I got rid of nearly everything. It was a small studio, so I had to save space. I was SO HAPPY! My mind felt clear because I could see everything I had, all in one glance. No piles/boxes/drawers/cabinets/closets of unknown "stuff" that weighed on the back of my mind! It was glorious. I'd give anything to have that again. Alas, joblessness has me stuck at home. No end in sight.
