@@jekciso The way people pronounce the name of the Philippine province "𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘁" really highlights how 🌍 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 when different 🤝 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿. Let’s break it down in a more casual way: 1. 🔤 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: So, in 🇵🇭 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀, "Benguet" has a specific 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 that can be a bit tricky for 🇬🇧 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀. When they say it, you might hear "𝗯𝗲𝗻-𝗴𝗲𝘁" or "𝗯𝗲𝗻-𝗴𝘄𝗲𝘁." This happens because English has its own 🔊 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 and 📜 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 for how words are put together. By changing the pronunciation, it makes it easier for English speakers to say the name, even if it sounds a little different from how locals pronounce it. 2. 💬 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: The main reason people use the name "Benguet" in conversation is to refer to that specific 📍 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲. By adapting the pronunciation to something that feels more comfortable, English speakers can talk about it without having to master the original sounds. This makes conversations flow better, especially when the name comes up a lot. 3. 🌏 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Even if the pronunciation changes, "Benguet" still carries 🎭 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲. English speakers recognize it as a province in the 🇵🇭 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 with its own unique 🎨 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 and 📚 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, even if they don’t say it exactly like the locals do. 4. 📏 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Over time, the way English speakers pronounce "Benguet" might become the ✅ 𝗴𝗼-𝘁𝗼-𝘄𝗮𝘆 to say it among them. This is just how 🗣️ 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 evolve. When people borrow words from other languages, they often tweak them to fit their own, making it easier for everyone to understand. 5. ❤️ 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: For Filipinos, the original pronunciation of "Benguet" might hold a lot of 🏆𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 and 💖 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. In a nutshell, how English speakers say "Benguet" shows how language can 🔄 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁 to help people communicate better. Even if the pronunciation isn’t perfect, the name still has important meaning and helps people recognize the province, balancing the need to communicate with respect for its 🌟 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆.
On behalf of all your Filipino viewers and subscribers, i would like to thank you for all the informative videos you put out before, during, and after those back to back to back storms that we've experienced. You guys really did a good job and I would not be surprised if you guys be recognized as one of the most trusted weather forecasters for storms targeting the Philippines. Keep up the good work.
Also let’s not disregard the possibility of typhoons during December just because the shear is now a bit lowered because remember super typhoon Rai (odette) was a december storm that destroyed Bohol, Siargao and Negros Island., because of the unusually warm pacific sea right now it is still possible to generate late season storms.
@@WestPacWx absolutely just like some unexpected November tornadoes in the US some late storms could pop up without any warnings, this is some information I got after watching tornado documentaries. It could be spawned either Dixie Alley or Tornado alley some could be spawned late October. So it is possible, one thing I know about weather is that it is really unpredictable.
I must say JMA had the more accurate initial forecast of Pepito's track days before it's landfall which was pointing towards Aurora instead of Quezon province, although PAGASA also came out with 3 scenarios one of which was the same as JMAs. Your channel had been useful to me as well over the entire course of Pepito's track. Thanks for your work.
Respect the video and happy for a Calm Luzon.. Sad for central and western Visayas Who have been experiencing grass yellowing dry spells during the luzon typhoons.. We Need Rain still suffering since ELnino been a brutally Dry year down here
Indeed, PAGASA gave out warnings and updates and the LGUs made extensive preps and precautionary measures... But all of that couldn't have dissolved the moisture content and powerful winds of the super typhoon, could they?😊🙏😇
Ya the mountains really took care of that, but remember it hit Catanduanes as a cat 5, no dissolve there. People ahead of the storm prepared due to days of warning and prep. Shoutout to those in charge of making those decisions and getting that information out there.
Thank u Robert for your tireless effort to keep us updated this November. It was priceless information for us here in Luzon. You should take a well deserved rest!❤
Seems all I've done these past couple of months is become an amateur meteorologist! 😂 Thanks as mate for your regular and 'real' updates. You're a legend! Cheers, Simon
I hope we never see another month like this one. There are people who live up north that have spent much of the month in a shelter. They've gone home to cleaned up and then another one. Yikes!
Almost unbelievable the small amount of deaths .from all these typhoons.. Cebu, Danao BRGY, got almost nothing from all this really ... Where the F did all the winds go that should have been generated around these storms?
Well you were hundreds of kilometers away from it, the damaging winds were only a few km around the storms center. Cebu always was on the dry hot side of this one. In fact all the recent storms stayed north of you. Which is good, better to hit the low population Sierra madre vs Samar or Leyte.
Sir thank u also for your reports and updates you care for us here in the philippines and now sir i see the proof that the ecmwf is realy more accurate of all sir thanks again sir❤❤❤
We thank Lord Almighty for HE has the power towards this Pepito, here in Laguna, only windy & rain shower,we'ved just experienced flood from previous typhoon
Let's take a break at last. However, I have an ill feeling that there will be one more, you know, that "Christmas Wrecker" type of system 😑 Hope I'm wrong.
What is next is that we will expect typhoon next year again starting february, experiencing heat index from march to may/jun and habagat season from july to october/november and will end the year with amihan season😂😂😂
Man-yi has been a big nothing where I am at in Kawit, Cavite. Also in also the gf place in Niac Cavite. It didn’t get windy, and the rain we did get was very minimal. 10mm?
That makes sense, no one expected Cavite to really get much of anything, this made landfall 150km away from you. My only worry was maybe cavite city with some waves on the pennisula, but otherwise that far south there was never a threat.
If only we can give water accumulated here in North Luzon, flooding is a problem. Imagine if the country has an excellent water catchment system that circulates water and prevents flooding.
