The problem is with you guys is that
You got expectations from the trailer like it will be a total mass masala movie with full massy moments and action but when you watched the film and realised that it had a good or decent story line and action is a small part of the film then you guys got disappointed. That's not right brother

Jisme se ek ne bola bhot achy movie hai paisa wasool hua performance bhot achy hai.. Ek ne bola mujhe movie kafi pasnd ayi 30 40 mint ko chhod ke. Ek bolta hai ki aap ise ott pe dekhna ye usi ke layak hai paisa waste karne ki jarurt nhi hai.. Or ek bolta hai movie achy hai but remake hai inhe apni stories pe kam karna chaiye...
But they all forget about one think ye agar jo bhi bolenge movie pe impact padega inko ye nhi samjh ata hai ki bhai tum bura ya acha jo bologe log usi ki tarah react karte hai or dekhne jate hai.. Ab log kahenge ki sabke apne opinions hai lekin jab apke pass million me followers hote hai to vo opinion kam or influence jyda ho jata hai..
I have watched the movie i m not a fan of shahid but the movie and his acting is fabulous don't just take his opinion seriously just go to the cinema and watch this movie you will be enjoy..

(NO SPOILERS) Just came home from theatre after watching this movie and the movie is good. It keeps you engaged. It's different than typical bollywood movies. Shahid turned out to be better than expected. There is only one song in the movie that is Bhasad Macha which is on the beginning of the film.
The only one thing that disappointed me is there is less action than what i imagined but let me tell you, do not make a mistake of watching reviews or verdicts online to decide whether to watch or not. The movie is different than you expect. It only falls short on the action department just cuz of the expectation. All the action is on first half of the film, on 2nd half i expected more action but there's little to no action in second half and Shahid also has very few dialogues. Second half is the plot of the story.
If 1st half was as action packed as 2nd half, this movie would have been 5x better.
There is nothing wrong with the movie, do not go based on reviews or verdicts (including my take here). Just watch it. It's a good movie. You won't feel bored or disappointed at all.
Again, i like to end this with saying, more action could have made this movie 5x better with exact same story. But do go watch it. There's nothing like watching it in a theatre.

Phir is movie ka essence hi nikhal gaya agar woh angle hat gaya. You should watch the Mumbai Police movie one of the best movies of Prithviraj. Then you will come to know the essence of actual movie

I watched Deva last night, and I’m absolutely speechless. Shahid Kapoor’s performance was on another level-his acting, dance moves, the gripping story, and the suspense all came together perfectly. This is the problem with indian cinema, people won't appreciate the movies like this when they are realesed but after 5-10 years.

In my opinion, DEVA is awesome, shahid kapoor has shown a lot of energy, he could have put little extra efforts in acting, i liked his costumes, those are awesome, and he has taken lots of efforts for his body workout. Story is amazing, all characters should have portrayed right on time, like farhans wife alka doesnt show up later, she has only one scene. pooja’s scenes also very less, she could have put more masala in movie.

Deva mere liye a sochne wali murder mystery hai. Bassad macha song peppy aur dance steps ka mood banata hai. Script ka Dialogue aur screenplay decent hai. Shahid rocks, Kamaal kiye hai. Politics pressure aur Police ke beech ki takkar acchi hai. Agreession hai aur excitment bhi hai, shooter ka role well conceived hai, Rohan aur Farhan, aur neta ki acting commendable hai. Pooja is decent in acting. Suspense creation makes you get involved in the process. Aur climax jo hai, final moments kisi ne bhi sahi guess nahi kiya hoga. Kon hai mole. Halki kuch aur excitment aur action hota, toh Deva definitely more likeable hoti. Zyada koi boring scene nahi hai. Aur budget ke hisab se ROI 3 to 4 times ho sakta hai, if including ott & satellite rights.
Mumbai police was a malayalam super hit from the same Director Roshan Andruess Starring Prithviraj and Jayasurya.

For the first time, I find myself disagreeing with your movie review. Contrary to your opinion that the movie was a disaster or disappointing, I actually really enjoyed it. In fact, I wish it had been longer than 2.30 hours because I could have easily watched more.
