There WILL be a protagonist and an antagonist. You don't have any conflict/resolve without this dichotomy. These are people's lives that are being affected and forever frozen in time. It's going to be a long, arduous road for the young lady in this episode to live down how this show decided to portray her. I'm not saying she's a model person in society, but I am saying she's likely not as bad as the show depicts in her actual daily life. I guess the lesson here is to carefully read anything that requires a signature.
