Seemed pretty clear to me that he said (in a roundabout way) that he either hit the rock and then the curb, or that he was trying to dodge the rock and hit the curb. It gets a little lost because the Royalty guy cuts him off and says "brush on the side of the road" when the dude is trying to think of the word curb or median. He then describes the median curb by pointing out a curb they are talking by (I'm guessing on that last part as it was off camera).

I work for a used exotic car dealership and I'll tell you right now, babysitting exotics is nothing but stress. I couldn't imagine how stressful renting them out must be.

The higher options just means it's more 'special', and insurance will likely pay it's value or more. It's a way to prevent low-ball insurance claims. It's legally scamming insurance.

That car can be fixed easily I own a body shop I've fixed car's Lamborghini Ferrari porsche Mercedes Bentley rolls Royce BMW in worst condition than that that frame work is easy I should know costly but way less than the car is worth it wouldn't even be a salvaged title

The thing that sucks about these rental companies is exactly this,random ass people that have never driven a fast car let alone a ferrari or lambo. I remember a episode where he went into a lambo dealership and said,I want 4 of these Huracans...just to have idiots crash them and forever be lost. Just prevents people from buying these on a used market. Rental cars shouldn't be part of the production numbers. Ferrari and others should just make a separate fleet for rental companies. There are way too many rental companies now a days across the world..the odds aren't in anyone's favor.
Who has to pay for this masterpiece of a car? Does his personal insurance or is it a 3rd party insurance he signs up for and pays when signing the papers to get the car? Or does the crappy part happen where you all get stuck putting it on your insurance?

yeh why drive into the curb though, still better to hit the rock than a concrete curb and risk losing control, and if its a massive rock, there would be a ton of damage to the front bumper which there isnt just the lip, and the lip damage wis what you expect when you ride up on a curb so...his story really dosnt add up..

Why don't they have cameras on in the cars so they can see what happened in situations like this.
You guys need Lytx cameras in your vehicles. It would also drastically lower your insurance rates. It only records when an event happens, and you could disable the speeding function.

I've always wondered how insurance works for exotic rentals. If it was my insurance company the conversation would be "So you want me to insure you renting out super fast, super expensive cars to thrill seekers and frat boys on Vegas vacations?" ........... *click*.... line goes dead.

Odd busy to get into. You KNOW the renter is going to drive it fast. And most likely never had anything fast to drive. Getting over their head and wrecking would seem the norm?
In STL we have a exotic rental, but they have track day. You get to rent a car, but you get a safety class. A instructor. And some lapses on your own. Still a risk by all means, but little more controlled environment which makes more business since.
You can film anything and anyone out in public wether they like it or not.
If I had an exotic card rental business, or even just a regular car rental business, I would have a couple large mean guys on my payroll who are there just to beat the shit out of idiots who crash my cars. And the newer the car, the more expensive the car, the more severe the beating will be. Because IDIOTS NEED PUNISHING. There would also be a rider on the rental contract, the last paragraph: "Renter is fully liable for all damage done to the vehicle if law enforcement investigation determines that the vehicle was damaged in a single vehicle incident."

How can a car be totalled from an accident like this? That must be a bad design from Ferrari that you can crack the frame/ chassis from such a minor accident.
Also, there must be a minimum age to rent cars like these. Not all, but most of us when we were in our early 20s would get into trouble with a car like this, you just don't have the experience and appreciation of danger with this kind of power. I was 27 when I bought my first 911 Turbo, had a few extremely close calls in those first couple of years lol

Hitting a rock seems statistically extremely unlikely. How many times did you hit a big or medium rock? Me never in 20years
Also the ground clearance of the car is low and if it was a big rock it would be pushed by the bumper at 45mph. If the rock was smaller to get underneath it would not so that damage at 45mph. I hit a kerb about 80mm high (didn’t touch the bumper) and I only had a flat tire and a slight play in the lower arm joint but that was at about 30mph.

Depends on the insurance covarage. If one rents a car which it is fully covered insurance wise. It does not matter if the car explodes or is wrecked, the driver does not need to pay a dime, nothing nada since the insurance by the rental company coveres all damages.

I bet he had race mode on, which turns off most of the traction control. With race mode off, he gunned the car and lost control. This is what happens when someone hasn't driven a car with this much power. Never put it in race mode unless you are on a track.
