During the soulburns you always seemed to use X(E) more than the standard max of 3 times when you are running wind F, you got any DPS reason behind it? (only i can think of is maybe baleful?). Also why run Counter instead of elbow smash? if it's because you're tanking don't you already have enough aggro gen being in the top of the DPS chart with the ocasional RMB(T) and V?
1. r f isnt the highest damage cancel you can do during SB ~(we are missing the gear that KR has) 2. I run counter to compensate for lagg spikes, during the pizza phases it is veeery important that you do NOT get knocked back and counter has more block frames than elbow smash.
its just high crit rate and r2rf cancel. Additionally be aware of what skills you can use to gain chii back like Counter, Q/E, Chained Mace etc. and obviously weapon chii proccs ^^
Yeah, i tried it and with the r2rf my chi was stable enough to do a constent DPS, this build looks stronger than my casual Wind build. I'll do more test.
Tanks are generally classes with Threat modifiers, so that they can consistently pull the aggro without having to worry about outdps'ing players, however if there is someone who is clearly able to stay on top of the dps meter he would also be able to tank. Classes with Threat modifier are KFM and BM. Most of the heal is coming out of the players own equipment, but there are also classes that provide party heal like Summoner and Soul Fighter.
Don't Destroyers have threat modifiers as well? That's at least what the description on the page says "Destroyers provoke enemies into attacking them as the biggest threat around. Once they have their opponent’s attention, they overpower all who stand in their way".. Or do they just have a taunt and that's not good?
Yes its a taunt and it has downtime, which means if they arent top dps, they WILL loose the aggro once the taunt is over... making them not viable as a tank.
Started my kfm probably a week ago reached 50 now, but i have no plan what soul shield to use, what would you recommend/are you running, sorry if you answered that already :D
Uhh, since you just got to 50, get asura / msp 5 set and oblivion (desolate tomb) 3 set. While you gather these SS you should slowly work on the legendary SS from midnight skypetal plains (this raid can be cleared by less geared players too because the difficulty increases with stages, so just do stage 1-3 / 1-4)
it is less likely that i will do a thorough guide for each boss because the first boss is veeeryy easy, the second boss does not even require a tank. Well the third boss maybe. So for now i cant give a 100% reply for the other bosses ^^
fire build is surely viable in late game especially with the coming patches it will receive more buffs (Increased Tiger Strike damage / Bracelet to buff Tiger Strike / Fire Acc / Comet Strike 75% from BT 3 set and so on) ... additionally fire build is less punishing on low fps / high ping, so in that sense it is better to use in raids for the average player. For me personally its just too boring ~
