This is honestly a fire idea, lets hope they bring this when multiple characters are available (probably not lol)

At most they'd do something like Luigi's Balloon World to keep ranking events like in Odyssey

Hold up, this is actually really dope! Turning the Open Zone into a single, full-zone race is a great idea.

It should be added in the 3rd update. With more playable characters it makes more sense to have multiplayer, I guess
I kind of hope they would use the open world challenge theme, and then whichever character wins, would do the little break dance animation. I think that would be super amusing, especially if come Wave 3 you could use multiple playable characters rather than just sonic Redskins

Such a missed opportunity tbh, they could've also had memory token races as well, would've added so much replay value to the game.

This is an amazing concept! I like how you edited the split screen effect for two different gameplays of Sonic. I want this as a DLC fr. You could also race Sonic’s friends in this mode. Including Sage.

This idea i gold! You’d just have to find a way to keep the speedrunning tricks out of it like launching into the air and stuff like that I love that sonic is a base stats and no upgrades. It should have checkpoints in case of falling and dying. Some way that works with open zone and doesn’t limit you to a specific route.

I would like if there would be an multiplayer mode in sonic frontiers, exploring with friends, treasure hunting and mini games, these things are really great for it!

I'd recommend putting something like "Proof of Concept" in the title of videos when you do something like this. It's a neat idea, just can come across as misleading when most people got o this channel to see showcases of existing mods.

I'm assuming that spin dash isn't in this mod, but what happened to cyloop. Infinite boost doesn't take that long and can cut down on some time you needed to charge up boost.

Who knows, maybe they might add something like this in the third update, but we'll just have to wait and see...
This would be sick! Maybe you could even do battle rush to beat bosses together or cyberspace to race through the levels. Heck they could even throw in Shadow as player two (something I’d personally like to see because it’d make sense since their fighting styles match perfectly with the game)

Is anyone else just wondering why neither of them used the infinite boost? All they had to do was use the Cyloop to make an infinity symbol and they would have been good the entire race

This is pretty good. One Idea I would recommend is something similar to super mario 64 DS multiplayer. Where each player is racing to see who can get the most memory tokens before the time runs out.
sm64ds multiplayer is the most unbearably underwhelming thing imaginable but agreed
