I wish their was an 81 Chevy 3/4 ton because I have so many great memories with my dad going to the hunt camp and hauling the four wheelers. And it was in the military also my grandpa owned it. We call it the red truck because we repainted it red in 2010. So many great memories can’t wait to get my learners permit to drive it.

I myself am a dodge guy but I cant lie almost any 90's truck body style looks good.
My dads 1997 Chevy 1500 has 204,000 miles on it and when he gets enough time to go through the motor it will be a good truck again, the trans got replaced almost 5 thousand miles ago so it will be a nice truck with a redone motor in it.
I think your dream is super real love old trucks.

The 99 7.3 performs better then 94-98 7.3 powerstrokes and the 2000-2003 powerstrokes it also has the most power because it has an intercooled and In 2000 ford put smaller fuel lines in them not giving the intercooled enough fuel

People bash the dodge transmission but those 90s chevy transmissions... 100k miles and they are more than toast

Until 98.5 the second gen Dodge had the 12v then the second half of the year it got the 24v Cummins

Gen 1 1990 Dodge Ram with 5.9, 12 Valve Cummins.
We have a 94 bow tie with 60k miles and it has a dent in the bed from when it was slid into a fence post and now it’s a farrier truck.

Just sayin, flip out tow mirrors weren't a thing until the 24 valve came out in 98.5.
If I had the money, Id buy an old 1940 Chevy Coe. Id love to own one, yes they may look weird but I think they are badass.

My first vehicle was a ‘95 chevy 2500 Regular Cab with a 5.7 350 in it, before the vortec engine, and when i got it it had 269k miles on it and it barley had any rust on it and it ran like a champ except for the gas mileage
The reason I said 3500 is because your square body is a c/k 3500.

Up until 98 1/2 they put 12 valves in 2nd gens. Then they went to 24 valve
That's why that a oddball year got both 12v then 24v later that year.

My grandpa had a 2001 Dodge 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel manual extended cab truck , he also had a white one but it was automatic, they were both flatbeds, he gave our family the maroon one. I loved it, we then sold it 2 years ago because the transmission went out on us. We then bought a 2002 Ford F-350 Superduty Lariat Turbo Diesel. I miss the old Dodge.
