The greatest accomplishment of the Wayfarers is definitely being in a Toni video. In all seriousness though, do you think that if the Blues Brothers had used any other struggling sunglasses, this emoji 😎 might be different?
Wow! As if I needed reason to love Blues Brothers more! This is what I love about your channel; you cover all these fascinating bits and bobs of cinema history that not a lot of people know about!
The wayfarers are timeless alongside aviators. Michael Jackson wore the wayfarers through the Bad era. Which he transitioned onto aviators later during dangerous era. In between the dangerous era, he did wore the wayfarers again occasionally. But if I have to be frank, I prefer him wearing rayban wayfarers over aviators and rayban wings (thriller era).
I love me some wayfarers, however I don’t like the arms because they’re so wide and obnoxious looking. I like the route other brands have have done when creating their own wayfarer with more slender and refined look, particularly in the arms.
@@TonisFilmClub do the glasses that all the most famous characters have, where you can see the dark glasses and you can't see their eyes, do they have the Crystal green polarized color of the lenses, or the classic grey?
@@TonisFilmClub It seems when they do show smoking recently there is need to post a disclaimer - there is one on the end credits of 'Oppenheimer' - as if a 'nuclear fallout' is acceptable as there is no disclaimer about its dangers!! In so many films you have to wonder 'why is everyone smoking?'

hahaha it had all led to this video. Who knows, right? Maybe the emoji would have been wearing aviators - those were very popular as well.

Excellent as usual. On a darker note of product placement, the tobacco industry was/is firmly smokin' hot.
Thank you! Good point about tobacco - makes me realize that I barely see people smoking in movies nowadays.

@@Pioneers_Of_Cinema Just saw Oppenheimer and didn't notice the disclaimer. That's actually quite funny haha
