I’m in MD and I noticed that we have not had the dense flocks flying south this year. Nature’s rhythms are so comforting and the change in them in recent years is unsettling. Love your channel - I’m a new viewer. Thank you so much for the effort you put into the channel!
Welcome to our channel! Yes, unsettling is the perfect word to describe all the recent changes around the world. I feel sorry for the geese. I think they are confused.
Good evening g Arnie and Lynn. Hopefully you areslready resting by the time I got to watch the video. The sleeping lambs under the blanket were so sweet. Gizelle really outdid herself this year. Boy turning over like that must feel awful. Knockout has produced some real beauties. Good boy. Goodness having those lambs is a hard job. Gladiators offspring have really beautiful faces. Wow. There are a lot of geese hanging around. The sheep went over to the barn pretty well. Wakey wakey. 😂😂love it. Elsie’s lambs are beautiful. You just want to cuddle the. What a fantastic video. Thank you so much. Big big hugs to you both. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😉😉😉❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Patricia. No rest for the wicked so they say! This is when I answer all my comments and edit and upload my videos. Some days I'm up until midnight doing this! :) Glad you enjoyed the video. Big hugs!
I’m a new subscriber, and have been watching your channel for a while. You are so loving and gentle with the lambs! I just love your channel! I start my viewing time on TH-cam watching your channel. We grew up surrounded by ancient forests and rolling hills of farmland, and your channel reminds me of those times, and the gentle people who lived there. It was a magical place to live while growing up. A lot of hard work, but it was good for us, and seeing the rewards of hard work was a satisfying thing to experience. You both are very lucky. When I saw Elsie’s baby right away I thought of the name Mossy. She’s so sweet and beautiful, and Mossy would be a beautiful name for her. I hope you will call her Mossy. And I agree with Arnie. I need a cup of coffee! Have a beautiful day on Ewetopia Farms!🐑🌸🐑
Thanks for joining us! You paint such a beautiful picture of your life growing up! I am going to go with Maisie but we will have lots more lambs to name in the future so I will add Mossy to the list 😉
@@EwetopiaFarms Thank you for such a kind reply! Maisie is a darling name! That was my second choice, so I’m very pleased over her name. She is so sweet and absolutely adorable! I don’t think she’d be one I could give for sale to anyone she is so darling! I think I’d make a poor farmer since I’d want to keep them all! 😍 I hope you, Arnie, and Maisie, and all the others have a wonderful day!💐
Great video, lots of lambs!! I have a theory about why the lambs like to have their face cupped when taking the bottle. It you think about it, the face of the lamb is surrounded by the leg of the ewe, the wool from the belly and the flank on top. I wonder if the touch receptors on the lamb are stimulated to encourage nursing. It would also help keep their head positioned on the teat. Just a thought. Have a great day!
The name that kept coming to my mind for the little lady was the nickname I lovingly had for my teaching assistant. I always called her Mossy. It was also the nicknamed my uncle had for my mother who is named Martha.😂😆 In my family everyone had a nickname.❤ Thanks so much for bringing us along!!! Get some rest and stay safe!!
Yes! We love Mossy for a name also. My sister had a piano teacher when we were little who was possibly one of the sweetest and most giving, helpful person we all knew. She saw my sister got a piano to practice and play on. It had the most beautiful tone to it. When my sister would play piano all our neighbors would stop working, sit on their porches and listen. Her married last name was Mossman, and I don’t remember her first name, but everyone had always called her Mossy as a nickname. Mossy reminds me of those beautiful summer afternoons when my sister played the piano and filled the soft summer air with sweet music that filled the hearts of everyone around. Mossy reminds me also of beautiful soft summer fields of the many farms that filled the area where we grew up. The soft mossy greens mixed into the vibrant greens and golden creams and browns of planted fields and rolling meadows. Mossy reminds me also of the early spring Sunday mornings while we rode to church and saw the earth coming to life again. The soft rolling hills filled with woodlands covered with green grass, the moss springing back from its sleepy winter’s rest, and the trees blooming into lovely bouquets of white and delicate sweet pinks that splashed wildly across the forest that lined the road. Reminds me of the babbling creek we rode over on the bridge as the sun twinkled and sparkled on the gleeful waters dancing over the moss covered rocks. Yeah, Mossy is a good name for her!❤️🐑❤️
@@cindyboard7816 Oh, how sweet of you to say that! Thank you. Yes, we had a wonderful childhood. Not perfect, but overall it was mostly very magical and blessed. My sister would practice piano playing the most beautiful songs while I helped mom clean up or cook in the kitchen. Sometimes if I was drying and putting away dishes I’d stand there smiling watching her play as I dried a dish. And dry it and dry it and dry it! It was so beautiful I’d get lost in the music. Mom would have to remind me that the dishes were gathering in the sink. Hint-Hint! Lol! My sister brought a lot of people happiness when she played the piano. Have a beautiful day and weekend. ~Blue
@@BlueberryGirl723 My dad played piano by ear as many of his brothers and sisters. They didn’t have a piano at home so I wish I could ask how he ever was able to learn!?! Maybe on the church piano. I remember being in 6th grade and chose to learn to play clarinet. We got our instruments the first day with instruments to not even try to play to avoid establishing a habit of placing the reed wrong. My dad had never touched a clarinet but blew on it a couple times and played Go Tell Aunt Rhody!!😂 Sadly I didn’t get his musical abilities! I have a good ear for music but my brain can’t translate that to my fingers!😂 You have a wonderful day and a blessed weekend!! Stay safe!!
She looks like a Trina to me or maybe Sabrina?😊 I love the way that the ewe (that was stuck up side down) thanked Arnie for the helping hand! 😊 I hope you have a wonderful day today
Yes, poor girl could have had a terrible outcome if Arnie hadn't shown up when he did! Thanks for the name suggestions! I think I am going to go with Maisie because it needs to be an M name this year🙂
Oh gosh, I remember Giselle and Jerry! They were such cute lambs and so eager and friendly, following you everywhere! 🐑💛 I agree, Lynn. I think the geese are confused. They probably stayed too long in the north with the unusual warm weather. 🦆 The lambs in the coveralls certainly have tons of room to race, jump and hop! 😊 Elsie’s lamb is a beauty! I’d call her Muffin because she’s so cuddly and adorable. 🥰
Actually I always get Giselle and Jezebell confused. The one with the triplets was Giselle and her brother was Gerome but not from Elsie. Jezebell and Jerry were from Elsie. But all were memorable sheep 😁
Wow an amazing list of M names from everyone! Love the sound of the geese. We had a flock go over us too and I have no idea which way they were going. They should have left already to head south.
Yes, totally good name suggestions but I can only use one. But all the rest will get added to my M-name list 😁 Yes, I think everyone is noticing the geese!
Lynn. I live in Edmonton. I drive north towards Fort Saskatchewan every day. And as soon as I get away from the city, I still see all the Canadian geese. I don’t think I’ve ever seen them here in January. We only just got snow this week. I am hoping they migrate soon because it’s supposed to be -30 by next weekend. Love watching the little lambs. You do such a good job of explaining everything.

how about "Missy?" We had a lovely Boston terrier named Missy and she was such a good, lovable dog :) Madeline Grace is another lovely name...you could call her Maddie.
Yes, cast sheep always give us a fright too! Luckily Arnie found her before she had any ill effects from it! I will add Marigold to the list, thanks! We are going to call her Maisie 🙂
Elsie’s bottle baby looks like a Myrtle. I also like Maisie as someone else said. Is it a problem to keep breeding a ewe who doesn’t have enough milk? Is there a risk her daughters and granddaughters won’t be good milkers either?
I forgot about the M year thing... I assume Elsie is spelled Elsie. I was going to propose Siella. But I see you have some good suggestions already. :)
While I think that Meara would be a wonderful name (it's my name😁) as it means "happy" in Gaelic , I also think Melinda would be great for Elsie's little one.
They just come out that way sometimes but it is just baby wool. When they grow up, the spots disappear unless it is a cross and then it could keep a few markings but not likely 🙂
