    I have 4 ideas that I think are going to be pretty cool! :) Please try them!
    1. Grind up some sparklers and make homemade thermite
    2. Put some lithium in a divot in a block of dry ice with some water and see if it will burn
    3. Run a ridiculously large amount of voltage through some light bulbs in a series circuit and make them simultaneously pop
    4. Put a stun gun or some electric current near a metal spinning fan blade

    • @jusb1066
      @jusb1066 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yes, but its not boiling in the normal sense of being hot, its just bubbly cold water (actually getting colder as it evaporates faster in a vacuum) , yes it is boiling in actuality because of the vacuum, but yeah dont make tea with cold water

    To keep the resin liquid for longer you have to have it at anywhere from 350-600 degrees F. The reason this is something I know would work is I work with resin as a part of my job. Now obviously our recipe has other ingredients added such as fiber glass but having it at such a high temperature allows it to be more pliable and moldeable. Which is exactly why we use it at such a high temp. We mold containers for our customers.

      This would be an interesting experiment which I think would vary depending on the type of fan.
      Also imagining a fan spinning for far longer after the power is cut, in addition to requiring extremely low power to keep it spinning.

    Hello and thanks for the video.
    I have purchased a similar vacuum pump+chamber, my model is Mophorn RS-1. I have tried it and the bubbles start to come out, as in the video. But they never finish, and the needle never reaches -30, it always stays at -28. I have checked the connections, but in my opinion they are tight and should not leak.
    Do you know what can happen?
    How should I proceed to remove as many bubbles as possible, should I open the outside air valve when it is "boiling", i.e. with a majority of bubbles on the surface? Repeat the process several times?
    Thanks in advance.

      Considering how much air is in ice, I would be interested in seeing the difference between regular ice and depressurized frozen water. Unfortunately, the lack of pressure means that the boiling point of water is lowered. This means it may not be possible for the depressurized water to get cold enough to freeze.

    What if you mixed the same amount OF helium and sulfurhexafloride
    Would IT make the same density as air.

    • @mikerascoe2177

      mateo d omg that would be cool

    • @CrispySkinwalker
      @CrispySkinwalker 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No because they have different relative densities to oxygen
      So if out atmosphere was 0, helium might be something like +5 but sulfurhexafloride might be -6 which if you found the average of the two, it would be -1 and not 0

      The vacuum will cause the balloon to expand until it either fills the chamber or bursts. If it bursts, the vacuum pump will exhaust the sulfur hex until the chamber is once again empty. While the balloon is expanding, it will remain on the floor of the chamber. That's it, no other results.

    What would happen if you degassed the 2 parts and mixed and poured in vacuum? Obviously you need a different vacuum set up or some sort of automation system in the vacuum but you should be able to get a degassed resin that way.

    Some hobby casters cast in different materials and some times they put thier resins and other in the vaccum for a little while just to get some of the air out.
    So, what difference could have been if u had gotten the resin out before it set but u still had some bubbles extracted.
    Whould the difference be noticable or whould it look kinda the same, that might have made a difference for the resin in the vinyl casting
