I ordered a K&R Kymron Chinese Excavator for commercial use!

  • In this video I take the arrival of the K&R Equipment Mini Excavator. I went back and forth on the sizes and ultimately went with the ZX22 because of the compactness, retractable tracks, and bigger digging capacity.
    Warranty on this machine is also one of the highest which ultimately played a big part on my decision. I am going to be receiver a couple other attachments to use here shortly on the channel, Steve said he's got something coming for me, so we will see what surprise that is.
    Options for these are trenching buckets, tilt buckets for grading, rippers, rakes, and even augers. Material/smooth buckets are also a plus and they do offer those as well.
    They also have more equipment and it is hard not to want to order more than one machine.
    Shopping was super easy and the break down was I called and gave the specifics of what I do for work. Then they pointed me to two machines that they most recommended that would suit my needs the best. The ZX16 and the ZX22. Ultimately the difference was the size and I opted for the slightly larger machine. You have a cashiers check ready and fill out the two forms, and they can help arrange delivery.
    The Machine was delivered within a few days right to the house!

    We have the xh22d for our company. So far we are very happy with it. We do alot of drainage jobs, residential re-grades, and new yards. It's been really nice getting into tight spots.

      Right on! Good to hear some others have also been putting them to work. We do a little bit of everything. So it doesn’t get used everyday, but when it has it’s been handy and does get in tight zones. The articulating arm is a plus!
      Initially that was the first model I was looking at, but then really liked the ZX22 and just went with it instead.
      Any idea how many hours you have on the xh22 now?

      @BeyondMachinery yeah. I like the zx also. They did not have that when we got ours. We just broke 100 hours. Only issue we had was a really for the fuel pump was acting weird. Replaced it with a bosh relay and zero issues. When I contacted Ron about the issue, it was comforting to know he was willing to do whatever he could to help and get it solved.
      Good machines. Great company.

    Great choice! This model wasn’t out when I was shopping for this size mini excavator. Because of that we ended up going with a bobcat E20. Don’t regret that decision whatsoever.
    However, if this specific option was available at the time I probably would’ve grabbed one of these. The other similar models kill me with the thumb design and a few other things but this latest model is very very nice indeed

    • @BeyondMachinery
      @BeyondMachinery  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you!
      How long ago were you looking for one?
      I tell ya what, I wish I had an E20 to compare side by side for a good period of time. Would be nice to showcase the comparisons.
      It is a nice machine for sure, the thumb is stellar and ups the E20 in my opinion for that reason. No shade to the bobcat because it is solid and it’s my usual when I’ve rented mini’s. I feel I would of done the same had one come up around me.
      However, curiosity was very heavy and I decided to just order one and give it a go, I feel it will last and do pretty much all I need it without being too small or too big. The pedals on the cab are taking some getting used to but other than that, it’s been a back saver!
      I am waiting on some other attachments to come in as I only have the 10” trencher bucket. So I am impatiently waiting now as a material and tilt bucket would be super handy right now!

      @@BeyondMachinery we were looking for one for about 4 months before making the decision. Youre right about the thumb on the e20 not being the best ever. The one on your model is very well done! The other kymron models I don’t like the mounting of.
      The e20 is definitely stronger than an equivalent kymron machine on paper, but I would like to see the comparison also! I hope you have great success with that machine! It looks awesome

    • @BeyondMachinery
      @BeyondMachinery  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You aren’t kidding, we looked for a little while as well. Honestly we let about two solid opportunities slide out from us just because we needed a different machine first. We got a mini skid which basically just goes everywhere we go.
      However, I can say that this machine overall feels good. There’s some cons, as with anything, but they’re minor so far.
      Time will tell the overall worth of the machine especially in the commercial setting.
      I appreciate you liking the machine, if possible I’ll try and get an E20 on here as well. It’ll be a little while before that happens though. We buy all our machines personally and after doing long hours of research to see if it’s truly something we need.
      I think next up would be an articulated loader, as they give mini skids a very big run for their money! I may consider renting one for a week and at least get some content on it out there to see what people think as well. They’ve been around for quite some time but I think their popularity isn’t quite up there as other equipment. I’ll have to see why and how that content will do on the channel.

    Although I have a different brand, that I am very happy with, I congratulate you on your purchase.
    Please use the blade at one end and the boom/bucket at the other end to lift the tracks clear off the ground before moving the tracks in or out. Also I puckered when the driver unloaded as you should face the direction you are traveling with the bucket out and low coming off the trailer in case crap happens and you tip. The bucket will prevent you from tipping over. The way the driver did it he could have gone over backwards if crap happened.

    • @BeyondMachinery
      @BeyondMachinery  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @normhowes2975 I truly appreciate that, it’s a big investment and truly a big jumó that would of never imagined could of been done.
      I remember we started with a push mower and home made trailer.
      Very true, I do make sure to completely lift the machine up the exact way you mentioned.
      Agreed! I thought the same thing, however from the angle I recorded in it looked higher and more angles than it truly was.
      His trailer was basically on the ground since it really only transports the smaller units. Thankfully, nothing did happen but that’s good advice you’re saying to make sure to turn the bucket towards the potential tipping side.
      If you don’t mind, what machine did you get, how long have you had it, and any break downs or repairs needed?

      @@BeyondMachinery I have a Groundhog ZH20D from Hackenburg Equipment out of PA. Weighs in around 3000lbs. Coming up on 2 yrs ago. At about 130 hours right now with worse issue being track tension for the first 75 hours as they wore in. It is a smaller unit than you have but has done everything I have asked of it. I am looking for a minor hydraulic seepage before it becomes a major issue.
      Check out B&M Excavating on TH-cam to see all he does with a 16 HP gas unit.

    If I didn't have a low hour bobcat e20 fall into my lap at a very fair price, I was looking to get one of these machines also. Curious how things work out for you as you work it.

    • @BeyondMachinery
      @BeyondMachinery  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes! Definitely can’t go wrong with those bobcats. They’re just work horses and that’s what I’ve used in the past, but ultimately we did want our own for the business and to have the ability to use when we wanted to even if it wasn’t for super long. I myself am curious and figured why not toss it into the mix of equipment we have and use and see what it does. I’m sure if it does close to as good more and more people will be looking towards these over bigger name machines. I think the biggest decision to factor is how often and how much it’s used. For smaller or lesser use I think they’re a great investment and easier to pay off, however, reliability is known with the other brands and for more usage I’d too make that extended price jump for the added security. We will see, I’ll upload the outcomes both good or bad.

    I purchased this machine as well and also wasn't liking the orange Kubota look. Kymron does put Kubota's in some of there machines but this machine has the Yanmar 24Hp in it. I went with the white and it won't be ready until July 2024. This machine has the 2 speed so that's a PLUS to move fast and it has the thumb attached to the bucket and not the boom so that's a PLUS as well. It also has the dozer blade stick up high of the right controls and I'm wondering if that is a PLUS?? I'm also wondering about the Bolt quick connect and why couldn't it use the hydraulic quick connect with the shut off valve that I saw this machine has the taps on the boom for the quick connect shut off valve. I will be inquiring on that as well.I would also like to tell everyone that Kymron only sells parts and attachments to Kymron customers which would also make that more readily available to us. Thanks Beyond Machinery and look forward, Neil

    • @BeyondMachinery
      @BeyondMachinery  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @neilkoster4823 that is correct and I think overall you’re going to be very happy with the machine. The 2-speeds is awesome and does help when traveling, however, to turn it only turns well in the low speed. I think the blade height was a plus for clearance when moving and transporting on a trailer. Plus the tracks retract and you can fold the sides of the blade making it a narrow machine to fit anywhere over 39 inch entries. As for the quick connect it goes limit the curling of the bucket and for that reason I was ok with out any form of it. The thumb being hydraulic actually helps out a lot and I liked the positioning as I was able to pull out rail road ties with it fairly easy. As for the attachments and parts I didn’t know that, but I think that’s actually better for us as parts would be more readily available. Getting in touch with them also seems very accessible which is what I really liked over other sellers/dealers. I too look forward to what this thing can do and I’ll be sure to put it on here! Thanks!
