What was Mad City?

Depressing.
Dude, it's not all bad! I have a great interest in creating my own Mad City, I liked their cool Idea, and even is Clone of GTA Online - still not looks bad at all. Why not make a Separate Game in Unity? If Zombie Surival Unturned on Roblox originally deserved its original re-release on Unity Engine, Mad City deserves this too!
I used to play both jailbreak and mad city from 2019-2022.
I really haven't played since 2022 when I thought this game is still going to have a bright future. There was a massive live event and Mad City was revived to have ~30-40K players again like jailbreak but only for some weeks until they just stopped updating.
It isn't the end they said development will be paused and start building again and if you look on the group tay and other members are helping on a update or a boss

Of course, I understand the nostalgia of Roblox players, but we will add and take all the best from the First Chapter of Mad City, take the Second Chapter as a Basis, and pump everything together to the *perfect* level. The original Mad City will remain the same as what Schwifty Studio intended at the beginning of its creation.

I haven't played this game in 4 years.
It's been 5 days since I came back after a very long break.
While everyone was crying and sobbing, I was having the best time of my life exploring the new map, getting used to heists, trying out new cars..
Now that the game's pretty much abandonned, I'm already starting to lose interest.
All of my playtime is just grinding with tryhards and it's really not the most fun thing in the world, at least for a free-to-play player like me.
I sometimes question if I should even invest that much time in a dead game anymore.
Now it's pretty much a buggy mess that obviously needs to be recycled, if not completely remade from scratch.
Rest in peace Mad City. Your legacy lasted for quite some time.
Still looking for a bright future as there is still a chance of coming back, as stated in the update log.
Nonetheless, we'll keep mourning it for as long as it takes.

by some point in the future, they mean 1-3 years, and if they ever do update it they’ll just abandon it all over again so theres no point in going back. Just gotta find games with actual players and updates now
While it's possible they might not abandon the game again, the reputation that they have created for the game will definitely be hard.
The trust that they've created, and pretty much destroyed is going to be hard to repair

There are countless roblox games who die out and everyone simply forgets about them. Mad city is one of the few games which has built a legacy and probably won't be forgotten any time soon. If we look from this perspective, I guess we could say Mad City won.

There are many ideas that can get some playerbase, for example, if they like the shooting, there can be a death match, many different modes, custom weapons, organized, automatic, it can bring playbase back to MadCity

Its so sad and frustrating because of the amount of potential the game had... it sucks that we will never get to see what this game couldve been
We're living in the worst possible timeline for this game
CH2 is totally unwelcome to some OG players of the game, they have gone from good to bad, yet buggy and unbalanced updates, and also cash grab stuffs anyone just quit and stopped play the game.
I think reason b/c the game sometimes its getting boring because they focus on its core game mechanics (robbing stuffs, arresting or killing anyone on the opposite teams), except if there is a boss fight or seasonal event, or lores to explore in the game.
Trading system might be "sketchy" if they add in the game, Stefan tried to refuse to add it since JB introduce it, b/c it might take advantage to the scammers.
the game was ruined by the crooked hands of the developers, starting from chapter 2 the game was completely broken(tons of bug, shooting, arrests, driving and much more, i mean full game), now they made it even worse, I think many old players realized even then that this was the end

But since 12 I made imaginary scenes in my head like fights, a interesed history and make each heroe, police and some citizen have a function to fight and beat each boss trying to attack their city.
I hope I can finish this serie perfectly its my dream because I LOVE this game❤

Damn. Madcity had way more potential than Jailbreak in my opinion, and they had something going for them in late 2023-january of 2024. They were really updating the game and trying to keep it fun and enjoyable. They edged us so hard with the fact that they stopped updating. We were promised so much, just for them to go along and say "He-heck naw" and NOT RELEASE TRADING PLEASE MADCITY.
Another thing I want to share with the supposed decline after chapter 2s release, I understand nostalgia but chapter 2 is way better. The cartoony feel honestly got me hooked, along with it feeling like new roblox instead of your basic roblox game graphics.
I really do wished the game kept going, but sadly this wasn't the case. All updates we were expecting are essentially never going to come anymore, unfortunately.
