    Breathe in silence
    We won't pray
    Time can't heal us
    We will wither and decay
    When the sullen voices cry
    Dust will settle
    We're an echo of a past some deny
    If your vision of truth
    Is dressed up as a lie
    Then what is the point of living and dying
    Look outside these dark walls
    And discover the light
    That which is hidden beneath sorrow and scars
    When the ocean takes us in
    It will swallow the bitterness from within
    When we're drowning
    And losing hope
    Fragile moments
    Will save us from all of our sins

    dude this is black metal at the very least, no one gives a hoot about quality. We care about passion and effort, and in some cases the lack of passion and lack of effort is what makes it even more artistically beautiful.

    @fallochmusic ive heard louise brown say on her radio show on total rock that falloch sounds like fen and agalloch in both name and sound. when recomending the band to people. Both are favriote bands of mine and so when she played this I loved it instantly.

    I am guessing you are talking about Agalloch? We are named after a waterfall in Scotland called the Falls of Falloch. We decided that name was too long so we shortened it to 'Falloch'. We never even realised the similarities in the name until a few people brought it up recently. We don't really understand the comparisons between Falloch and Agalloch musically because we're not influenced by them at all really.

  • @kingofsquish
    @kingofsquish 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yeah, I guess this could be labelled as post black metal. Solstafir, a famous Icelandic band, is labelled as Post Black. Coldworld, a Thuringian DSBM and Atmospheric band is also labelled as this too.
    Just in case you were wondering about some example bands of what people call, "Post Black Metal".
    In any case, no matter what people label this band as, their music is still amazing no matter what.

    Oh, hahaha, I clicked this thinking it was an Agalloch song and I was really confused because I'd never heard of the album this was off of and I was about to freak out for not having Agallochs full discography. But this is still good, so I'm glad I made that mistake.

    Just discovered these guys - pretty good! Someone help me here, my top 3 bands are Agalloch, Alcest, Les Descrets. I can't find any new bands like these. Recommend some please? :)
    I definitely hear Alcest similarities in here, but hey you can't reinvent the wheel every time!

    • @MichaelM1349
      @MichaelM1349 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just discovered them also like right now!
      Check out Lantlos, the song I'd recommend is Eribo: I Collect the Stars. I think it's Neige's band actually. But all the songs are pretty awesome.
      Agalloch and Alcest are two of my favorite bands. I was lucky enough to see Agalloch play live. I dig Les Descrets also, but I need to give em more listens.
      You should also check out Fen, Ammeosaurs, Deafheaven (really intense band), Altar of Plagues, (Their new album is really out there, give it a few listens it will be worth your while) and Wolves in the throne.And I'm sure there's more!

      These are a bit different from your bands, but they are still awesome:
      -Dopamine
      -Shyy
      -Dernier Martyr (this one is the heaviest of these)
      -Lantlos
      -Akaitsuki
      -Closed Room
      -Somniaferum
      And specially listen to the split "The World Comes To An End in the End Of A Journey"; my favorite album up to date.

    I don't know why people keep saying this resembles Agalloch... I'm a HUGE Agalloch fan, and I don't really hear Agalloch in there. The only similarities I REMOTELY see are a few genre ties... If ANYTHING, the only resemblance I see is to Alcest, especially during the latter half.. But this band is certainly it's own entity... Give credit where it's due, even if you don't like it, don't say it's copying another band. Because they're obviously not.

  • @carbonbased7291
    @carbonbased7291 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @fallochmusic Well then it must be kind of a coincidence. A similar example was when people accused my band of having stolen a part from Wolves in the Throneroom, though the person who wrote it never listened to them... we should probably take it as compliments.. And good to know from where you got that name! Looking forward to the album, the two songs I heard sound really promising.

  • @FromThanatosToSol
    @FromThanatosToSol 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    Musical coincidences of similarty can happen pretty easily, especially since that can be pretty subjective. And.. Falls of Falloch, isn't that somewhere near Loch Lomond?

  • @kjdfkjdfkj
    @kjdfkjdfkj 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    Getting compared to Agalloch is complimentary as hell in my opinion (probably my favorite band) but yeah I'm not really hearing the similarity. I'll be looking for this album though, good stuff!
