Why does everyone talk how great silk filaments are, but never share their settings to help those of us dealing with clogs and skips troubleshoot?
cause highly unlikely the results will replicate on another printer
Because the get paid
Any tips for bed/nozzle temps? I just got a spool of this on sale from Amazon, and I want to print a vase for my girlfriend - so I want to make sure I'm printing it optimally for the material... If it makes any difference, I'm using Cura and an almost stock (just capricorn tube and bed springs upgraded) Ender 3 Pro
Yeah, without any such info, this video was a waste of time. He mentions that it's a bit specific/picky, and then fails to give us any specifics about how to overcome it. "Print slower" and such are too vague.
I can’t seem to get good layer adhesion with silk PLA… I can literally just take my prints apart with little effort… I’ve done temp towers and flow tests to try to calibrate.
Very nice! How did you hide your z seam? Mind sharing your settings?
I cant make this crap print what so ever it clogs after the raft/brim on every print whats up with that
Hmm, could be a lot of things!
Slow down the print speed and increase extruder temperature
@@AndrewSink so... basically you're saying you have no idea? Cause it seems several people in your comments have issues with it that they are trying to figure out
Having issues with my kobra neo 2 printing 2 color silk pla and it’s just looking horrible
Can you print silk with a brass nozzle or do you need a hard steel nozzle?
Have you tried with 0.25mm nozzle? Clogs often. Mika3D said can't use 0.25 mm nozzle with their silk PLA.
Wow! Good work!
Why is it that I still see lines on my prints
I keep getting clogs trying to print with silk. Why?????
Great question! Could be a lot of things, maybe start with looking at retraction settings?
I love the silky, shiny finishes, they look so great and I like how the rainbow filament printed. Cute ogres, too! Sorry Erica, first!
Ha! Victory is yours!
How did you get it to print is the question
I experimented with the settings until I found some that worked!
@@AndrewSink can you share your settings please?
