@Pablo-kw1xc I don't think getting nothing or some rich somebody who sells your art should be the bare minimum, tho is that too much to ask But I get the past is in the past, and things have changed, but we should still support artists to give them opportunity and credit needed and stop crap like this Anways, I wish all the best to you❤️

Thanks so much for these videos and starting conversations around modern art. I really like the vacuum sealed artwork, called ‘shrink’ by Lawrence Malstaf. I think your totally correct that it looks very dystopian - and gets me thinking of something like the Matrix - people all plugged into something and frozen in time - feed just enough (air) to keep them alive (gotta get you thinking about ‘plugged in/glued to tech or phones’ idea. He has people start off in embryo positions, then move to a ‘crucified’ pose (possibly signifying life to death, but you can’t go past the reference to Jesus here) - what might that get thinking of? For me too the metal frame harks back to traditional forms of portraiture, where sitters were required to ‘hold’ a position (that often was uncomfortable or torturous) for the sake of ‘being remembered’. I don’t think this was the artists intention but again I feel there could be parallels with how far people are willing to go to try and get noticed, or achieve some sort of fame/notoriety (again I feel similarities with social media - plugged in, trying to get ‘views’ and be remembered.) Please keep up these videos! They’re fast becoming my favourite shorts! (🩳🤦♂️)

I always thought that modern art was dumb but ever since I watched this... it took me a while for me to think for the next word yeah that's right modern art I dumb I can't express it.
gotta admit the vaccum sealed people one is kinda cool. I don't get the rest of them though, but hey I guess art is in the eye of the beholder or something.
Leonardo da Vinci wandered into a modern art exhibit and spotted a man with the Earth on his head. Perplexed, he turned to the artist."Um, what's this?" he asked. The artist, sporting colorful hair and piercings, grinned. "It's, like, a statement on the weight of the world, ya know?"Leo raised an eyebrow. "Weight of the world on one man's head?"The artist nodded eagerly. "Yeah, man. Deep stuff."Leo sighed, muttering about the state of modern art as he left the gallery, wondering what the Renaissance masters would make of it all.😅
I can understand the dirt dumping figuratively because a lot of people dump their views and feelings onto others while disregarding the other person and how it makes them feel. As for the imaginary air I can understand that you need an imagination to create art when there’s nothing there, it’s just an idea. Would I pay money to see any of this art in person? No, no I wouldn’t.
Dude let me tell you, I went to at art museum in Chicago, and in the “contemporary art” gallery, there was literally a blank canvas. I kid you not, a canvas, with nothing on it! No secret drawing or hidden meaning, literally somebody bought an extra large canvas at the store, and sold it as art.
You don't fully grasp the concept of art. There are many forms of art, and visual arts encompass more than just painting. Cinema, known as the seventh art, combines images and movement. Thus, contemporary art forms like body art are unique and reminiscent of movie scenes. These art forms didn't originate recently; they began in the early 20th century.
Yeah so, many people say that atleast the "art" pieces have a meaning... What they don't realize is that they come up with the art pieces before they come up with a fake meaning
In 50 years, I’m gonna end up selling a one of a kind piece of art for $54,000 after finding it in my attic. Moving cost will be included, and the curator will need to ensure that the piece is kept pristine by wrapping the empty space of my attic with cotton.
So basically in a nutshell, all modern artists just go. "I need a lot of money, I cannot be bothered doing any real work and I've got no skill as a real artist. How about I cover someone in dirt or I'll just put a chalk line on the ground".
Good idea, I find an empty space. Convinced someone it is an invisible sculpture and sell it for 2-3 million dollars. I can get rich easily. I can repeat until the day I die. I could be very rich pretty quickly. 😮
I can tell you why modern art is what it is. Back in 1940s due to a certain dictator being in power and being hyper conservative. He would use classic art as propoganda and would persecute people who didn’t want to make art matching said description. Which is why after WW2 a lot of artists wanted to try something out of the box. Bam modern art
