V.much agree with you on the driver’s seat, it needs bigger bolstering to suit the sporty pretensions of the ST Line. And I personally found it a bit uncomfortable around the upper back area on an extended test drive.
I must admit the first focus I have really liked... I can't wait for the st or rs variants but will never be able to afford them lol... I can dream. Hope you're well and great vid again
Like the ST styling but >20k is Hyundai Tucson/Mazda CX5 money. You could even get a decent 3 series. Can't see anyone but die hard Focus fans buying this new. Looking forward to the driving review!
Hi Tim, thanks for watching. I'd argue that's not the fairest comparison as those cars sit in a different sector of the market. Also, this is a mid range model, whereas the Tucson would be a base model at around £22,000, the base CX-5 would cost you around £25,000 and a base model 3 Series would set you back well over £20,000, or did you you mean a used model?
I agree with the 3 series my friend took delivery of a brand new unregistered 320i shadow edition with loads of standard kit in September and it cost him £24500 from his local BMW dealer who was doing a huge stock clearance promotional weekend due to being over stocked for the new reg I believe.
Great! looking forward to the drive, particularly the ride comfort with the engine 1.5 120ps Diesel. Only the most powerful diesel and petrol engines get the more sophisticated rear suspension this time from Ford.
Correct, the cheaper models get a torsion beam for the rear. Despite this, I think this car is impressively comfortable, especially if you bear in mind it's got sports suspension as well. Thanks for watching KC.
Great review, can't wait for the full one to see what you think of its drivability. I'm strongly considering changing my leon fr or my dads astra sri to one of these. Love the new focus in the blue. I'm actually surprised considering its an stline how many things are still extra i.e 8" infotainment and parking sensors. The one main niggle I have with both the outgoing and new focus stline is with the sync 2 system. I like to use my infotainment on the move and the rotary knob to the right which says "tune" would be far better used for scrolling through ones music list or phone contacts list rather than having to use your finger and drag on the touchscreen when on the go....may sound petty but that really annoys me lol
Hi Shane, thanks for watching. I agree, I think the ST-Line should maybe come with a bit more kit, but then again, you've for the ST-Line X. You raise an interesting point about the infotainment system - I'd never thought of that. Mind you. I've never found it to be an issue for me personally.
Great review does anyone know if this is just a focus running yet another Peugeot or Citroën engine? If it is, £25k no thanks......and another thing, a car this size with 85bhp is a joke. Don't expect to see fuel figures very high when u have to rev the nuts off it to get it moving
These EcoBlue engines are made by Ford, but I don't understand your problem with PSA engines. PSA diesels have been some of the best small diesels out there (especially from ~2010 to this day), starting from reliability to mileage, quietness and torque/displacement. That's why so many car manufacturers (Peugeot, Citroen, Ford, Mazda, Volvo, even Mini) used or still use them. The 1.6 and 2.0 units are really famous, with good reason.
@@xIcarus227 here here, I was about to say the exact same thing. I've got the 1600 diesel PSA engine in my 2010 Focus, and it is truly fantastic, great fuel economy, reliable and loads of torque.

Brilliant I’ve been waiting for you to do this one. Great job
Cheers Joe, thanks for watching. I hope to have the review done by this time next week, so keep your eyes peeled.

Great Video Preview as always. The Ford Focus ST-Line looks better In Blue. I also like the New Vignale Model as well
Agreed, the new Desert Island Blue simply looks 👍Thanks for watching Jamie!

Better than the Golf and Ceed.
Great job, Ford!

One question I would like to ask you which your Pick of the Focus Range
Erm, at this moment in time, I'd probably go for the ST-Line X, but that would change once the ST and RS models come out 😉

Hi William, thanks for watching. No, as far I'm aware, the new EcoBlue engine is a Ford only product, which they have developed.
william smith definitely not french mate the engines are being built in Germany.

How about a New Audi A6 Walkaround Video In the future
If I can get my hands on one, then sure!
