A delightful selection. It’s nice to see an upload of Jack Payne’s records which are all from his first year at Savoy Hill. Earlier this year, I finally purchased a copy of ‘There Are Eyes’/’Just A Voice,’ which was the last of the 1928 Jack Payne records that I needed. It’s interesting how each year between 1928 and 1932 seemed to bring a distinct, new change to the sound of the orchestra.
I am very fond of Jack Paynes music!
Happy birthday Jack Payne
Jack Payne’s 124th birthday!
What gigantic microphones they had in those days!

Enjoyable.
Under thirty!
Are these photos really from 1928?
"Columbia Graphophone Co"?
Columbia Gramophone Co.
Jack Hylton is not bad, either!
