Easily one of the most heartbreaking moments from the show. It would have been so easy for him to just stay. He could have been happy. Giving that up to go back and try and save everyone else is a choice I don't think many could make.

It was so close to perfection for me, and almost the best animated series I had seen. But there were just a few moments in Season 2 that kept it from that title for me. And there are a few moments in the finale that were just a bit too rushed as well, still it's 100% up there for one of the best no doubt, I won't argue with people who call it the best

She is "his" one. He will never forget what "could have been". Yet did the perfect choice by not getting easy. That is why I think those people saying that Ekko had an easy time and Jayce a hard time are so freakin wrong. Yes, Jayce lived aweful hellish months, but he returned to a place that was much better for him, without a doubt, where he had everything, and wanted to protect that for him. Ekko ? Ekko lived in a paradise for that many months. Plenty would have just said "f it, I'm staying here". But not him. Ekko sacrificed his own joy and happiness to get back to his own hell, just to protect the people in said hell so they can have a better future. Of both, I think in the end, Ekko get the hardest time.

I've seen alot of anime, and animated series and movies across my 30 years. But never, have I been this unexpectedly hit by the powerful combination of story, animation and music, as I was the second they started dancing. Tears just started flowing. Not hard sobbing or ugly crying, but just tears of, well, a mixture of happiness and sadness all in one. Powder has not known true happiness, and has seen misery after misery, loss after loss across her character development, so to be given this small moment in time, in an alternate timeline, where she's happy, and normal, was too overwhelming I think. This is the single best scene (as long as the music goes on, so including the next scene), I've ever seen, period. The details are immaculate. S1 and S2 ep. 7, has an epic Jinx/Powder and Ekko moment. Both a Dance if you will, the reflection of time, one with Ekko's Watch, the other on borrowed time, the 4 frames per second animation doing the s2 episode. In isolation, it's a fine episode. With context, it's immaculate.
That is what makes this scene so impactful. You know how much crap they both had to deal with in the primary timeline, so even if this is not the real Powder/Jinx, just seeing her happy feels like such a break, that you are happy that at least one version of her is ok. Even if it’s just for a moment, just in this single timeline out of all of them.
As much as I love episodes like 3,6,9,15. I think this scene is where Arcane peaked. All my life I have thought of dancing as this weird unrelatable ritual, but this... this finally made it hit.

This episode was like taking a deep breathe after sprinting in the story so far! You stop and take a look around and take it all in. When he stopped at the line between Zaun and Piltover and you could see the difference in both realities. Ekko was given everything he always wanted and still chose to go back. I don't think I could have made that decision!
Ekko and Powder/Jinx. The most badass sequence of the entire series (bridge battle), and the most beautiful heartwarming/breaking sequence of the entire series. Not one to cry during shows. This one got me though.

This episode was like taking a deep breathe after sprinting in the story so far! You stop and take a look around and take it all in. When he stopped at the line between Zaun and Piltover and you could see the difference in both realities. Ekko was given everything he always wanted and still chose to go back. I don't think I could have made that decision!
