Too complicated, wouldn't do it for the same reason they streamlined the launch pad. They should however make a grenade slot sort of thing. A specific spot to hold all grenades mapped to a single button. Shouldn't have to swap to it y'know, also typically not worth an entire slot in your limited inventory.
