I was working when GMA aired this 1st episode. I heard feedbacks from my sisters that this drama is great. And now that I've watched it, I could see why did they say that. Ang pagkakaiba lang naman is hindi nila cinoconsider si Jesus as God but rather prophet. Everything else is the same. Ang ibang kwento sa bibliya at quran may resemblance with slight differences. The same way how adventists, protestants, born agains have slight differences with catholics

Hi..this is my 1st time watching drama from PH which is base on Muslim community. Just such a impress and shock that PH have produce this such drama. For me as Muslim respect on the effort of PH drama product to produce such a beautiful Muslim drama... I'm not really sure either all actors n actress is Muslim or not. Please share on this. And as I know Muslim community in PH is minor community ,but your are able to produce this kinds of drama...and some more saw it a long episode ...full of respect and love from your neighbor country, Malaysia!!!!
Its the first Muslim-themed series in PH. Good that GMA go with this. Rather than typical Muslim life, it shows the culture of PH Muslim, the Maranaos. BTW there's only one actor who is Muslim. There are also consultants who appears on the series

For all the non-muslims and non-meranaos, I just want to explain or enlighten you that not all seen in this Drama series are all muslim Beliefs, mostly it is according to Meranao Culture, katulad ng "Maratabat" w/c means pride, where in islam is a religion where pride is considered as a Disease. Atsaka yung "tata", or pag pikot, ung niloko nung girl (or maybe not) yung pamilya ng lalaki na may nangyari sakanila para mapakasalan sya, is not just a maranao thing kc pati sa mga non-muslim my pag pikot and again hindi po ito muslim belief. Katulad na rin ng "Rido" or "clan feud" is something na hindi mawala sa Meranaos or mga Maranaw at pati mga non-muslims ay may away ng pamilya din pero again hindi ito muslim beliefs at bawal po ito sa Islamic law.
Basically, Maranaws has their cultural identity at the same time mostly, their religion is Islam. Islam is a religion of Peace and Love. Meron po kasi misconception between the two and in general. Sana pag aralan natin ang Islam o mga muslim bilang relihiyon at ang mga maranaos bilang mga tao na mula sa Marawi at Lanao. Im not saying na masasama kaming mga Meranaos, in fact we live by the rules of islam, honor and justice of our history but we're just same as you and everybody else, imperfect! Thank you po! Good luck sa show na ito at sana ma deliver po ng maayos ang Drama series na ito.
THIS! Though Maranaos are the dominant group of people that observe Islam here in the Philippines, generally they observe things or beliefs like what you said that contradicts Islam. Batas ng Maranao is not equivalent to Islamic Law which every Muslim including Maranaos should follow. Unfortunately, this questionable things in Maranao Culture are difficult to set aside but hopefully they will slowly abrogate this and faithfully embody the Qur’an.
There are other group of people that observes Islams like Maguindanaos, Tausugs, etc. I hope that non-muslim Fililpinos wont have misconceptions that “Maranao is equal to Islam” because this is NOT TRUE.
