    Great job as always man. I’ve been following you since 2014. I bought the same TRD you did in the same year. I don’t have all the same mods you have but any of the ones I do- I bought from watching your recommendations!

    I always wondered why no one just doesn't make a ground buss to the body or inner fender well? When I redid my last boat, being that it was fiberglass, I did just that. I just bought a buss bar from the hardware store, mounted it near the fuse block.

    Clean looking install. Not sure what use the red and black plastic covers are with the terminal sticking out of the top.

      Ha ha good point since I assumed they were supposed to protect against touching the terminals/posts with metal tools.

    Hey man, appreciate your video, but the link to order the part takes you to the wrong page. I ordered the kit, and it doesn't match what you posted. So now I'm having to try and work an exchange with SDHQ for the correct kit. No idea if they'll exchange or not. Please fix your link.

    Wow $170 for everything? I guess this have to be amazing for it to have that price and don't forget $60 extra if you want to have the battery hold down

    So my question doesn’t pertain to this video but has to do with wiring. I have a mirror upgrade for my 14 Tacoma that I need to wire in. It has a ground wire and a power wire from the mirror. What is the safest ignition controlled wire to connect the power wire to, and how do I identify it I would greatly appreciate your advice. :)

      @Tacomaholic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Greetings Bob! I'm not the best person to ask about wiring so hopefully someone with more experience will chime in.

    For the negative to the body of the Tacoma, why is the factory cable replaced?

    • @Tacomaholic
      @Tacomaholic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because it's just a little too short to reach the new larger terminal without putting unwanted strain on the cable.

    • @jonathanwong986
      @jonathanwong986 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tacomaholic Got it! So after cutting the ground cable to the body of the Tacoma you simple use some electrical tape?

      What do you mean?

    • @troy3456789
      @troy3456789 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Tacomaholic "Big 3 Wire Upgrade". Typically, most have added a thicker wire from the positive terminal of the battery directly to the alternator for the first one.
      The second one one is from the negative terminal of the battery to the engine ground and body ground (that small ground wire near the battery to the inside of the fender).
      Third is from the engine to the frame or body, but I'm not sure which.
      It is supposed to help solve a litany of power and charging issues. If you look up "Big three wire upgrade" there's some companies that offer pre-crimped wire sets for it. Also, some other TH-camrs have done videos for it on various cars & pickups. DC Power Inc has a three wire [universal] 0 AWG set for $89.
