    I live in Indonesia and recently collected a tiny toby puffer from a tidal pool for my home aquarium. No idea what species he is and I'm looking forward to seeing him grow a little so I can find out.

    Would you put a blue spot and saddle back together??

      I was going to do the same thing, I have a blue spot puffer in a 55 gallon right now and was thinking of adding a saddle back puffer as well. This however is not a good idea unless you have a very big tank because they are very territorial and will most likely fight each other

    Can you touch the puffer or can it be dangerous?

      How harsh is a puffer on water quality ? I want one but scared it will shift my parameters with it’s bad table manners

    Is a honeycomb puffer aka canta janthinoptera a toby? I am looking at one that says reef safe moniter, coral safe yes. Dosnt make sense but on sale cheap and always wanted a puffer. I have lps and softies. Is it advisable? i also have a 6 line wrasse, 2 clowns and a diamond goby and a fiji blue devil damsel.

    I want one! Once I upgrade my FOWLR tank I want to get one and have it with my snowflake eel. Do you think they will get along?

    • @LiveAquariacom
      @LiveAquariacom  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eels are opportunistic feeders. Snowflake Eels can grow to about 24" which means the eel will eventually try to eat the puffer. Most Toby puffers are smaller in size so I would not recommend keeping them with a Snowflake Eel.

      LiveAquaria I’ll have to look into maybe one of the larger puffers instead, thanks

    Can you have 2 toby puffers of different tipes in the same aquarium?

    • @LiveAquariacom
      @LiveAquariacom  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not usually. When I had the different Toby puffers in the studio tanks we tried having multiples in one tank and it was not successful. I know there are a few people who have had success in larger tanks but that is not the norm. Thank you for watching!

    I have a 75 gallon it will be ok for have one of those?

    • @LiveAquariacom
      @LiveAquariacom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's plenty of room for a Toby puffer. However, you should keep only one since most of the time 2 will not get along with each other. Thanks for watching!

    Can 2 Tobys be housed together?

    • @LiveAquariacom
      @LiveAquariacom  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not usually... If you have a larger aquarium and put them in at the same time they might get along. When we made this video we tried keeping some of the same species together and different species together and there was always aggression towards each other. However, the aquariums we kept them in were only 65 gallons. Thank you for watching!

    Y does nobody discuss the weirdo creepy way they sleep and the color changes in them so we no that they aren’t dead or dying lol. Coconuts. Btw mine lives happily w a mandarin dragonet and a diamond goby, a few snails get pecked when he’s hungry, a bumblebee shrimps missing and peppermint shrimps probably not long if not moved but my emerald crabs so lame he hasn’t even realized it’s in the tank w him. He actually points food out to the mandarin so she eats cuz she’s wild caught, not trained on frozen or pellets and will starve w out her turd burgling beaked buddy. Menace....He also eats his own poops.
