Been playing less than a year. This vid is actually super helpful. I assumed that the Top Operator tag would appear after certain upgrades to the base at a higher level. I had no idea I had to pay attention to the tags cuz it 'might' pop up hahaha. God knows if I've just blundered past one without knowing. And i was trying to pul the robots before assuming that they'd be easier cuz they are 1 star. Makes sense that they are just as difficult hahaha.

I know this is late but I'll just share what I did in recruitment. I kept spamming EarthSpirit and Utage because they often give me at least two to three 4 star tags. There's also a chance that they will bring a senior or top op tag. One time I left EarthSpirit to do the searching, and then I logged in after daily reset, she gave me both senior and top op tags in one sitting.

I don’t do 9 hours with my expedited plan because in long term I’m saving LMD, per 10 7hr 40mins I would save about 1000LMD? Doesn’t look like much, but it’s something
Not necessarily, just wait out for the 4* tags and you'll never get three stars as much, that also means holding out your recruitment permits for when the tags appear
@@kukkikaze yeah, that's what I've been doing since the release of spot in recruitment, generally, I got like 5, 4 stars each week, but it just that, the same 4 stars gravel again and again, it's just gold cert farm at this point, and if I dare choosing other tags it's just all healing, defender, guard, AOE. it is common for the tags to show the same exact thing even when refreshed TWICE, this new recruitment is dumb
@@rachmatzulfiqar The new recruitment did destroy quite a lot of tag pairings, the only ones to really pay attention to are Melee/Guard/Sniper/Caster/AOE/DPS + Slow and Sniper/Ranged + Survival, the rest being the usual single tags, but don't feel too let down, just hold back your recruitments best for the 4*'s for best returns, at least for me, the yellow cert gain I get usually is appreciable, not fast, but still decent

Hey. You know what? I think you're my lucky charm man. After I've watch this video, I tried my luck on recruitment. And out of the blue, I saw TOP OPERATOR, GUARD AND DEFENCE LOL. So I tested the tool. I saw Hoshiguma and Saria. And others are Chen, SilverAsh etc. as for guards. Well it gave me a hard time whome to pull. But what my D say, sorry rather heart say, Go for Defence for Saria or Hoshiguma. Well Im so happy with the result. I got Saria and Im so happy!
I got Top Operator in my first week of play, unfortunately I didn't know what I was doing at that point, so I threw on tags more or less randomly, ended up getting Nightingale. Good operator, but there are far more useful ones I wish I'd known enough to shoot for.
I know this is from a year ago, but did you know you can tap down on the hours to go straight to 9, instead of up through each hour? Saves a few seconds.
Funny I find this after the absolutely cursed tag I got the other day. It's both the luckiest and unluckiest I've been having gotten got senior operator and top operator on the same attempt, it was painful.
The reason why most people opt to use aceship over gamepress is because you can actually have more than 2 tag combo on your screen at once, seriously who needs everything that's on the screen, why is everything 5 times the size it has to be, lol. Secondly, you just get too many permits to go "just use them when you get a 4* or higher 4Head", no offence, in your case you're saving them for content, for a normal human being tho, they'll use maybe 5 a week as a result, when they get 50+ a month. Personally I recommend going Guard/Defender for Vulcan/Indra, you'd be surprised how often you can get them, my Indra's P6 and M6, Vulcan is at P4. If you want to give the advice you gave, just tell them, you'd want to keep up to 5 at all time and keep those in case good tags pop up. That way, if a 4*+ pops up they can go for it.
Hey there! I don't disagree with your suggestion on using additional permits to fight for Indra and Vulcan. I'm still experimenting on this to see how valid this is, like how I did 1000 recruitment on stream yesterday (no Indra or Vulcan in 1000), there can always be an update to this video in the future. I like the idea of just saving up and pulling in one go, it doesn't even have to be for content, a good number of people I know have adapted to that so that we can make our expedited plans of use to see how our recruitment pulls would go when we do them in one shot.
@@kukkikaze While I get the appeal I also know this very fact : You're limited by the amount of expedited plans you get, furthermore you get more recruitment plans than expedited plans. I mean just look at this video, you have 280 permits you can't expedite. While I get the idea of going for those 30 certs/1distinction, you still get too much permits for even that. Hence why falling back on the Indra/Vulcan plans with the extra is a better idea, imo. I'd just suggest saving permit up to the amount of expedited plans you have, anything beyond that can simply be used up, just a thought. As for my statistics, In about 1100-1200 plans give or take I have gotten... Vulcan twice from random Defender/Defence Tags 1 Vulcan from Voucher 1 Vulcan from Defender+DPS Indra thrice from just guard tags 1 Indra from Voucher 1 from Senior Op + Guard Final merge from tokens. Yes...I'm almost P6 on both Indra : puu.sh/HF07y.png Vulcan : puu.sh/HF08H.png ....not sure if this matters but Castle-3 & Lancet-2 are both maxed, Themal is P3, because I fed a nuker tag into him, turns out Nuker tag can be used that way as well. I'd say more but those are the ones I'm sure of, Indra's my favorite character design in the whole game so I definitely kept track of her lol. I'd say it's a lot more worth it than people think, especially for Indra, you have to realize there's NO WAY you'll guarantee an Indra, nuh huh, that would require Senior Operator + Guard + DPS + Survival, literally give up at that point, the way recruitment works, if specific tag combo can combo into each other to give you lower amounts of 5* it rarely happens, this is why Crowd Control is much rarer than Summon/Nuker, these 2 have only 1 hit each, Crowd Control had 3, now 4. In fact today was the first time I didn't get crowd control with senior operator. This is also why Senior Operator appears a lot with Top Operator, Nuker and Summon, I don't have clear proofs of this, call it a gut feeling, but frankly I have gotten Crowd Control 3 times in total, Summon/Nuker however, OH BOI, at least 7-8 times each. Likewise Defender + DPS is now rarer than Defense + DPS due to this, thanks Astesia lol.

Not a lot of people have the time or resources to build them, and while not entirely replaceable, there is some overshadowing done because of Mudrock and Mountain. A lot of the luck from recruitment from what I've observed is very coincidental, or confirmation bias, placeabo. No one really knows how recruitment chooses to cancel tags, what is the probability increase of not dropping tags when you set the number of hours, how the game determines if you get 3, 4 or 5*. Hence, from my observation, for people who are just casuals, I suggest only spending it for 4* or 5* tags instead, and doing 7h 40mins when it's really necessary to recruit. When I do my 7hr 40mins pulls, I always put it as guard or defender, but no Indra and Vulcan has ever came from it. 9hrs do not increase rarity, I think you understand that fully, I hope. You can see the 7hr 40mins video I did. Senior Op does not always appear with top, it's all coincidence whether it does or doesn't. I got my senior op for once recently. You're very fortunate to receive good 5 stars tags very often, it varies from person to person.

Also again, you don't get enough expedited permits to just stack them "until you get a guaranteed 4/5*", good tags simply are too rare for the insane rate at which you get permits, you get like 75 a month guaranteed or something like that? + a bunch more from the credit store, lol. Meanwhile you get, unless you spend distinctions on it....which why would you outside of for content? Maybe....20-25 guaranteed one + more from the credit shop, rerolls are cool and all but they're too slow really. I doubt it's coincidental, just look at Defender/Defense tags and DPS, they're both incredibly common, seeing a combo of both though? That's about 50 times rarer. That's due to the fact it trims off far too many units and brings it down to 5*. To some extent, it can be considered "coincidental", but when coincidence have been going for so long...it really doesn't feel like coincidences anymore. I've gotten Defender + Survival 0 times, but Defender/Defense + DPS 4 times, this is just one of MANY such things I've observed, and that's just one example. As for the rates of what rarity it is, it's probably the same thing as summoning, you know, like you might have 2% chance of getting a 5*, 8% chance for a 4*, 90% for a 3* or something, keep in mind those are not accurate numbers, simply a bit of a thought. I'd recommend logging your tags if you believe it to be coincidental. As for the 7hours and 40minutes, frankly that absolutely does not matter. I always have done 9 hours, always will be. Unless you stack permits to high heaven, waiting an extra hour makes no difference to me and no offence, in this case this very much could be placebo, however I genuinely feel like there shouldn't be this wide a gap between the 2 of us in terms of pulls, yet there is. Which feels very odd to me. Maybe the amount of time also influences the subsequent tags? idk. Personally I had a time I got Top Operator 3 times in one day, I believe I got Top Operator a total of 11 times, though I've also been dry on it for a while now, as well as 5 Senior Operator tags, however, every single time I got Senior Operator I also had a 5* tag or a 5* combo tag. OR Top Operator. Crowd Control twice, Top Operator once, Defender DPS twice. Literally yesterday : puu.sh/HEX2V.png Stuff like this is what I mean, Crowd Control cuts off so many tags that can work with itself that you get other 5* combo to pop up because they become the same difficulty to be pulled together than to get a tag going with Crowd Control, but I suppose that's just a game theory....that happened on maybe half of my Top Operator/Senior Operator/Crowd Control tags, Robot's also fairly common to see with those tags for similar reasons. Top Operator + Summon also happens a lot because they have 0 synergy together unlike literally fucking everything else with Top Operator lol. I've had Top Operator + Starter + Robot + Senior Operator once. It was....interesting to say the least. Also, you seem to be under the impression I said Senior Operator always appears with Top Operator, that is wrong. I said it often goes hand in hand. Though it's becoming less and less common, since every new Top Operator added lack the Senior Operator tag, but the old 6*s have both. so back then Top Operator + Senior Operator basically changed nothing of what you got from Top Operator, making it more common, now not so much but it still is decently the case. It's like how when you get defender...you get defense a lot, cuz it doesn't fucking matter, same thing with DP Recovery + Vanguard and until recently Healing + Medic, now Healing is used on so many things that it's starting to become worryingly common, but yeah. Again this is following my logic though, and paying attention to not just me but plenty of people in my discord's tags. I'd say it's about 10-20% chance that if you get Top you also get Senior with it, but it's definitely hard to say.

Just yesterday I got crowd control and Dp recovery, so Texas tags......... I set 9h and left it cause I didn't have Plans........ and after the daily refresh, there was 2h left so I Plans it and boom........ C̶r̶o̶w̶d̶ C̶o̶n̶t̶r̶o̶l̶ DP-Recovery

@@datnoob4394 Bruh, a calculator isn’t trial and error… If I put 2+2 into a math calculator, I don’t have to try it repeatedly to find out the answer, getting different answers each attempt. There is a single possible outcome that will result when I relay the proper inputs. Same for the Arknights Recruitment Tag Calculator. If I select “Crowd-Control” as my choice (guaranteeing a 5* unless there’s also a Top Operator Tag), then the calculator is only going to show potential operators that have that tag. Just because there is more than one potential operator that can drop from that tag does not change the pool of operators I can receive (excluding changes through updates that add additional operators to the Recruitment Pool).
Should I bother with Tag Refresh? I just spam it whenever I don't have good tags because there's always a chance I'll get shift or another 4* Tag, but you seem to just blaze right through them without even bothering.

When I do my 7hr 40mins pulls, I always put it as guard or defender, but no Indra and Vulcan has ever came from it. 9hrs do not increase rarity, I think you understand that fully, I hope. Senior Op does not always appear with top, it's all coincidence whether it does or doesn't. I got my senior op for once recently. You're very fortunate to receive good 5 stars tags very often, it varies from person to person.
@@kukkikaze True, but at the end of the day, for collection purpose you still kinda want them at the end of the day. Also again, you don't get enough expedited permits to just stack them "until you get a guaranteed 4/5*", good tags simply are too rare for the insane rate at which you get permits, you get like 75 a month guaranteed or something like that? + a bunch more from the credit store, lol. Meanwhile you get, unless you spend distinctions on it....which why would you outside of for content? Maybe....20-25 guaranteed one + more from the credit shop, rerolls are cool and all but they're too slow really.
I doubt it's coincidental, just look at Defender/Defense tags and DPS, they're both incredibly common, seeing a combo of both though? That's about 50 times rarer. That's due to the fact it trims off far too many units and brings it down to 5*. To some extent, it can be considered "coincidental", but when coincidence have been going for so long...it really doesn't feel like coincidences anymore. I've gotten Defender + Survival 0 times, but Defender/Defense + DPS 4 times, this is just one of MANY such things I've observed, and that's just one example.
As for the rates of what rarity it is, it's probably the same thing as summoning, you know, like you might have 2% chance of getting a 5*, 8% chance for a 4*, 90% for a 3* or something, keep in mind those are not accurate numbers, simply a bit of a thought.
I'd recommend logging your tags if you believe it to be coincidental. As for the 7hours and 40minutes, frankly that absolutely does not matter. I always have done 9 hours, always will be. Unless you stack permits to high heaven, waiting an extra hour makes no difference to me and no offence, in this case this very much could be placebo, however I genuinely feel like there shouldn't be this wide a gap between the 2 of us in terms of pulls, yet there is. Which feels very odd to me. Maybe the amount of time also influences the subsequent tags? idk.
Personally I had a time I got Top Operator 3 times in one day, I believe I got Top Operator a total of 11 times, though I've also been dry on it for a while now, as well as 5 Senior Operator tags, however, every single time I got Senior Operator I also had a 5* tag or a 5* combo tag. OR Top Operator. Crowd Control twice, Top Operator once, Defender DPS twice.
Literally yesterday : puu.sh/HEX2V.png Stuff like this is what I mean, Crowd Control cuts off so many tags that can work with itself that you get other 5* combo to pop up because they become the same difficulty to be pulled together than to get a tag going with Crowd Control, but I suppose that's just a game theory....that happened on maybe half of my Top Operator/Senior Operator/Crowd Control tags, Robot's also fairly common to see with those tags for similar reasons.
Top Operator + Summon also happens a lot because they have 0 synergy together unlike literally fucking everything else with Top Operator lol. I've had Top Operator + Starter + Robot + Senior Operator once. It was....interesting to say the least.
Also, you seem to be under the impression I said Senior Operator always appears with Top Operator, that is wrong. I said it often goes hand in hand. Though it's becoming less and less common, since every new Top Operator added lack the Senior Operator tag, but the old 6*s have both. so back then Top Operator + Senior Operator basically changed nothing of what you got from Top Operator, making it more common, now not so much but it still is decently the case. It's like how when you get defender...you get defense a lot, cuz it doesn't fucking matter, same thing with DP Recovery + Vanguard and until recently Healing + Medic, now Healing is used on so many things that it's starting to become worryingly common, but yeah.
Again this is following my logic though, and paying attention to not just me but plenty of people in my discord's tags. I'd say it's about 10-20% chance that if you get Top you also get Senior with it, but it's definitely hard to say.

If I put 2+2 into a math calculator, I don’t have to try it repeatedly to find out the answer, getting different answers each attempt. There is a single possible outcome that will result when I relay the proper inputs.
Same for the Arknights Recruitment Tag Calculator. If I select “Crowd-Control” as my choice (guaranteeing a 5* unless there’s also a Top Operator Tag), then the calculator is only going to show potential operators that have that tag. Just because there is more than one potential operator that can drop from that tag does not change the pool of operators I can receive (excluding changes through updates that add additional operators to the Recruitment Pool).
Should I bother with Tag Refresh? I just spam it whenever I don't have good tags because there's always a chance I'll get shift or another 4* Tag, but you seem to just blaze right through them without even bothering.
