2 things, I thought at one point you were going to buy the 3 fields as one property around the bakery, could be good for a production or the pad for storing bale's. Second, being you have an autoload trailer, why not just make all bale's 150 so you never have to worry about missing a silage bale due to the previous bale starting at 180. Definitely buy a silo, or do what Chainsaw is going and build a large-ish open end shed and drop the crop under the shelter under the shed roof. Personally I would go with a cheap silo as it makes it good to load up again and you can then just keep your crops and sell for the best possible amount. With the micro sized grass field, maybe pave that up and make a small yard out of it to put a silo on and store one or two vehicles. EDIT: Just saw Chainsaws ep... he just bought a small silo, by the looks of it only cost him just over 10000 pounds too.

Daggerwin the “little field” in the new section you bought would be a good place for a 2nd yard/shed. It looks fairly flat, and is a pretty central spot for all of your land.
I'm just tossing this out there. Why not find out how many months it takes from planting to harvesting. If it's 4 months/episodes, why don't you plant something that will be at or climbing to peak value? If you plant corn and peak value is in one month then it takes 4 months to harvest you've already passed the peak value and it's headed down. Now you have corn that you can sell below best value or you can sit on it for 8 more months before peak value rises again. Just a thought. You're the only channel i watch for farm simulation, so i don't know if others do that or not. It just makes the most sense to me
totally agree, even if its meadow grass it would be wasteful to not cut it once before cultivating :) and if we are lucky it will sync with the good silage price for monster sale with the rest of the silage ^^
This is purely a Suggestion, but if i where in your Position on this Map, but now, at this Point, i would start thinking about dedicating the Areas that i have to specific Tasks. For example, Fiel 123 would be Perfect to place a Silo in and might even become a central Storage area, while i would use the Starting Area from here onward mainly for Animal keeping, and i would start with a secondary Chickencoop, placed where the Shed is currently. (That would also maybe allow for solving the Trouble with the Feed Trigger.) After the Birds are sorted out, i would think about the potential Value that Cows and/or Pigs could bring to the Farm, with Manure and Slurry. Lastly, i would target the next Aqqusition to be a more powerfull Traktor, or Combine, so that all the new Fields can be done at the same or a faster Speed then the small ones from the Start

I suspect you lost a load of potential money on the trees. The load of logs that nearly threw you into the river would have been TWO loads if you had cut them to a proper length. I know that price is based on length but once a log goes beyond a certain length, there's no additional benefit so you're wasting the wood.
So wood is weird when you sell it, the larger it is the less its worth, and if its too small the price drops, cut them into 6-7 meter lengths and you get the best bang for each tree
If there's any fields left that have buildings on them, you should buy those fields, chainsaw is making serious bank selling the buildings on his land, he sold one there for over 70k, and another for over 40k, and he has more buildings he can sell.... practically getting the field for free at that point
You should get a silo to save you some time of travel and allow you to store your crops until the prices are good. That way you don't tie up your only trailer to transport the grain with

Hi Daggerwin I think your log glitch could be related to the new update as the same thing is happening straw bales and the bale Spike. Happened to me and I that Scroft also had that problem.
About the only way you could tally amounts of ground would be to turn on precision farming, but even still, some of the dead space on some of them wouldn't reflect the farmable amount.
I think as others have said, you would get way more money if the logs were cut to approx 8m each. Those ones that were like 14m and hanging off the back of the trailer would have hardly been worth anything at all. (Presumably because of the extra processing the sawmill then has to do?). That's why you weren't getting the 40k+ you were hoping for.
you could get the field leasing mod the field prices is cheaper there depends on what month it is, or you could lease the field and even can buy the field after you leased it
You should sell 1 more round of wood and buy yourself a silo. That way you can store the grain and sell it at max price
He had to buy a silo a long time ago. They could use a old silo mod, then they could place a silo for 5000 or 10000

I would get a grain silo and also consider a larger chicken coop. Maybe place the chicken coop on that small grass field that you just purchased.

maybe a cheap multi fruit complex might be the idea, i think some can hold fert and seeds
Use unload and unload them into the trailer unstrapped. Then strap them if your not doing that already
