    That thing has to be set up like a grinder cause wood chippers run a little different they chip and if getting stressed reverse load then proceed chipping but iv only been around Vermeer stuff made here in. Iowa one of many machines for construction and about everything out there they do

      @@WildProcesses I'm retired but my friends dad had a tree company and he took it over but supply own wood with the trees they take down was working when2 brand new Vermeer wood chippers where delivered to job site but been around that stuff are had friends who had connections but he bought a grinder to grind up chips these posts interesting cause I have done the work and things change trying to keep up with technology been taking it easy last three years had open heart surgery now lungs are messed up trying to get them figured out I was thinking those poles logs could be used for fence post are firewood but don't know your operation so you grind and send to mill are power plant it's interesting thanks for getting back to me I just like watching stuff like you do hope covered what you asked if not will become pen pals lol thanks again

      @@WildProcesses I'm a retired trucker second post had a sand and gravel company then we had a landfill so ment all kinds of people tree company would be customers plus all kinds of people but my folks gave me a gift to gab so I talk a lot I have PTSD doctor says therapy for me to get on here and make connections I'm a person that been there done that are seen it done thanks for giving me chance to tell you what I did and ment interesting people from all lines of work thanks again

    i respect the work you guy's do but gotta be honest with you guys as a ex logger whos transitioning into a mill work and knowing the risks dangers Hazzards not seeing any protective wear kinda speaks stuiped to me in many different ways. However i know everywhere is different and same with their regulations but guys u should be wearing at least facesheilds because if something gets u in face it can be badnews from losing eyes to having something smoke yah in the head and kill yah or knock yah out cold or impale you in the thourt anything a chippers kickback is no joke and nothing to take lightly.

      @@WildProcesses not with those types of chippers with sm to medium sized chippers that u do tree work with yes. those chippers u guys are useing none id like to get some experience with the bigger ones though.

      You are absolutely right. You don't always have to follow the rules, but look after your own body. Protective clothing, a helmet and face protection, as well as safety shoes are a must.
