This is making me emotional to watch,it's like I'm getting to see others memories and it's just...very bittersweet But also 10/10 jealous that y'all got to see this back in the day hahaha! I love animatronics like this but they sadly don't have any shows Like this anymore for my gen to experience ;-; Plus I used to live in east Peoria IL so seeing that this existed once around that area is insane
I grew up in Peoria right down the street from this place in the 80s and went there for several birthdays! The absolute best! They had the Star Wars arcade game from 1983 with the actual cockpit that you sit in. I probably put a literal ton of tokens in that machine. So awesome!
We were at Westlake last night in Peoria so I decided to go down to peek in this old Showbiz building, where the current Chuck E Cheese is now. It is very sad to see. The stage area is walled off, no animatronics. The place looks like a daycare center now.
Just celebrated my son's bday party there last week. Far cry from what it was when it was Showbiz. I remember going there as a kid in the 80s. It was a big deal to go to Showbiz! We were on cloud 9 when we'd go. I forgot how dark it would get during the animatronic shows and all of the cool arcade games.

That particular Star Wars game at that Showbiz location was my favorite game ever. I always looked forward to going to Showbiz to play that.
My local! this was where my dad would mostly celebrate his birthdays when he was little!

I gotta feeling we’ll be seeing these animatronics again in the future.
Looks Like That This Is Taken In Early 1988, More Commonly From Either Late Winter Or Early Spring Of That Year.
