Few things are as cute as a horse that Yawns! 😊 Thank you for sharing! It is SO important that especially children see love and compassion for animals in todays world where life of all kinds isn't valued. This is beautiful! Be blessed in Jesus Name.
For one who knows nothing about horses, I appreciate your thorough explanation of what you're doing, why you're doing it, and the horses reaction(s). And I love watching Serena as you work with her. She is so sweet.
You folks have such a wonderful way with them. Thank you for explaining things, great advice - thank you for treating the horses with patience and calmness.
I don't know what color Serena is, but on my phone she looks grey. Absolutely gorgeous horse. Hopefully she turns out exactly how you and Todd hope. Take good care of her. I'm sure you will. 😊😊
Ron- we classify her as a grey but right now her coat has brown hairs in it too so she’s almost a blue-brown roan. lol! Honestly we don’t know exactly what she is! 🤣
How old do they have to be, B4 they get a final color? I know in thoroughbreds, grays get lighter over time, but a blue brown roan, would that coat hold, instead of morphing to a solid gray or to a lighter color?
@8ERescueRanch Can you tell us about her DNA testing as to breeds? Btw, the Paulick report did an article on using music, via an autocap that fit over the ears of horses with speakers, & it found that music does help horses handle stressful VISUAL stimuli better. In that, she may not have many of those issues, she might not need it, but in that I had asked you about whether you ever considered using it ( with her) I thought I would mention it, in case you wanted to read the details, for other horses you will be working with. If can help for up to 7 days after an application, but is best for spot use, not for continual or constant use.
She originally came out of Montana. She was sold at auction and purchased by a kill pen in Stroud, Oklahoma. I then saw her on their site and we purchased her from there.

You guys got a good one in her! And you’ve done a great job getting her slowly to this point and it’s paid off!
I can see why Todd wanted her. She is beautiful, calm, and intelligent.
Her puckering lips are precious! She was definitely enjoying her grooming...❤🐎❤️
She is such a sweet girl ❤
Serena certainly does love Michelle! ❤ She's coming along wonderfully!

She looks like she is a cross between a dapple gray and a buckskin. She is pretty.
It was sweet that she was interested in what you were doing when you were trying to film.

I love teasing Todd because he really insisted we get her… it loved her at first sight. 🫶🏼

I honestly don’t know what to predict on her! Her DNA came in and we are shocked!!!! So her mature color is very unpredictable! lol!
